^If you never solved the rattling problem, what i did to my old ones that rattled was just packed a rag in the centre cap and then put it on. Worked a treat

Do you have a link to them? Ones I have seen have a slight gap between the rim and ring, I suppose they are to suit 6 inch rims.

Well today was the day I've been waiting for, I finally installed the drop tank =D

It wasn't as trouble free as I'd hoped, getting the new filler neck in and connected to the tank was a royal PITA. And when I went to the servo to fill the tank up and realised that I hadn't fitted the big vent pipe back to the filler neck, resulting in a litre or two of fuel gushing out from the wheel arch. But apart from that, everything went OK.

I had to cut the old plugs and solder on the new plug as the original tank had 2 plugs, the new one only has 1. This was easy as, because theres 4 wires on both and they are also the same colour (purple + black for fuel pump, yellow + black for sender).

    OK, time for some pics

    Out with the old

    In with the new

    Vent hose arrangement

Ive labelled a diagram for anyone else who might be a bit lost with all the connections. This is the correct arrangement:

Im also very happy with how it sits now with the new suspension. The rear looks sooooo much better, used to look as high as my mates landcruiser.

Anyways, let me know what you think

Well just got back from the Nats. What a mad weekend. Just want to say the car didn't miss a beat the whole time. Drove over 500km including around canberra and used just over half a tank so pretty happy with that

did your new drop tank come with a fuel pump already installed? or did you swap them over?

Also got another exhaust tip put on the other day, I reckon it finishes the rear of the car off quite nicely

The tank took its first hit today I guess it wasn't a matter of if, but a matter of when. Going into a driveway on the way to work this morning and just heard the massive scrape. Urrghhhhh was spewin. Had a look but it seems to be all sweet, if anything maybe a bit of paint got scraped off the straps but the tank seems to have survived. For now.
