Hey guys,
After writing off my EL Falcon 3 weeks ago i recently purchased myself a VS Vacationer Sedan for $450 on factory LPG from an old bloke about 3km down the road from me. It came without a RWC and had been out of road worthy but the paint was very good except for one small patch of clear peeling on the boot and close inspection showed no rust anywhere and only one minor dint. also there was a small amount of surface rust in the spare tyre well. The motor and box had 350000km on them and the battery was dead flat. It was obvious it hadn't been tied to be started recently as it had cobwebs all over the key. we decided not to write it off yet though and jump started it. It started on the first revolution of the engine on the gas and ran very well. it blew no smoke at all after about 10 seconds and idle was close to perfect. After a close inspection of the engine and trying to listen for any rattles it became apparent that there was none. We then took it for a drive down a private road and it became apparent that the gearbox was faultless. the only think that needed work was the suspension, but that was ok with me as i was going to lower it anyway and this just gave me an excuse to so it straight away. it will also need tyres for a roady. After driving around in it for nearly half an hour I had already decided it was time to start negotiating a price. we ended up settling on $450.

Nice ride mate. Its a good platform to start modifying seeing its stock. If i were you id throw a new oil filter and oil in it if its been sitting for a while. Oil loses its lubrication property's after a while.
Looking forward to some more pics.
yeah thanks mate, i should have mentioned i've already brought all the things to do that. also have new coolant![]()
I think you did well for $450.
Will be good to see some work on her mate.

Fixed up the rust in the boot last weekend and am trying to work out what I'll do suspension wise, as I'm how far I'll lower her. Want to keep it legal. Also spent some time cleaning the inside, starting to look pretty good. One thing though I've noticed the middle rear seatbelt is broken, as in doesn't retract. Can I get one from a wrecker and fit it myself or do I need to pay someone to do it?
