so pretty much i have looked more into a manual conversion kit and im really not happy with the price, also not happy with the way it revs it just seems to rev really slow compaired to my old manual v6, so im moving this on and wanting to swap it for a manual vs v6.

the v8 is not as responsive and takes longer to gain revs than the v6, hard to explain.

yeah the calais was beast, but the calais needed some money spont on it, wich was money i didnt have. i really want another vp though.

    nice car man!

if you want another VP calais they go pretty cheap, probably swap this for one with some $$$ in your hand.

yeah maybe, i want to put my ss kit on there and get a set of ve ssv s1 wheels for it black too, it looks insane. maybe put a 5.0 in it down the track, but i will convert it to manual and drive around as a v6 for a while it doesnt bother me that much.

Not a bt1 - speedo & executive seats tell me that...unless they have been changed.

And your engine covers are back to front.

Seems like a good base to start from though.

Considered a stall converter and shift kit / servo / trans cooler? I had an Vr 5L Standard Auto that would shift like a slug and just got a 5L Ute with shift kit etc. The difference in the gearbox is incredible. Chirps hard out of gears and is a tonne more responsive. Something to consider if you don't want to keep swapping cars!

    Tidy ride by the way!

nah i havent changed any thing on it man, i dont think it is a bt1, it doesnt bother me either way haha.
and yeah i noticed that, there off atm i will probly post a picture tomorrow night of them.

well i got quoted 1800 for a manual conversion from a wreckers close too me so i will be going there, i have looked into corvette servo, it has a trans cooler already. i just rather manual though. auto has its perks, but i like manual better.

and im probly picking up a set of ve ssv's saturday

i never got around to getting the ssv's, some shit came up. ive moved back to my old idea of putting a L67 in a vp calais, im in a far better position than i was last time i wanted to atempt this so why not ? so this is for sale atm. pretty much going to sell it buy a little buzz box and start on the vp project, its going to be manual too! im aiming for around 160-180rwkw. white, black ssv's, ss kit ( already have it (inc foggys ) and 3;73s LSD or LOKKA. and i have always wante vt seats front and back, cream leather and vp calais international colour codeing throughout the interior. i have a center console simular to the vr GTS ones ( manual). let me know what you think fella's!
