I used to drive an N13 Pulsar every day, but 'twas a tad stuffed. Sold it, picked this up so I can have something repectable (and practical) to drive while my VR is off the road for the 5 litre.
The picture in the ad I found;
And after I got it home. I had already taken off the tonneau cover, it was saggy, missing hooks and shitting me.
The roof lining, after a temporary fix
The dash after removing the liner - the stuff next to the white block is still on there, I'm going to have to attack it with some scotchbrite I think.
Some of the stuff I have been dealing with;
Faded tail lights/reflectors
Really bad home tint, and the door handle after an enterprising theif failed
And how it sits now, after new tint, new tonneau, tail lights, a good cut and polish, door handle, aerial surround, grille inserts, plug leads, front tyres, new CD player and heaps of little niggly bits that were minor but enough to annoy.
The plan was to keep it 100% stock and just enjoy it for what it is, I already have the low, loud car that assaults eardrums and kidneys. But I am tempted to do some subtle touches to bring it up just a tad more. Maybe a twin exhaust and maybe some engine bits from MACE Engineering to give it a tad more poke.
I'm not going to lower it, as much as I would like to, as I'm looking at getting a block/house shortly and need to actually use it as a ute. Plus I tow my boat around a little bit.

Nice and clean mate.

I think LSDs came standard on S pack utes from VS II onwards. I know my VR had an open centre when I bought it.
I thought this one was open centre too, until I saw the tag and changed the diff oil.
If you want the dash mat, I still have it.
The ute has has a bit of a misfire under load lately, I have already changed plugs, leads, TPS, fuel filter, air filter. I might try a bottle of injector cleaner. It's using some water too, so I will change the inlet manifold gasket after the VR is back on the road.
Thanks for the comments!

Thanks man!
After I get the VR going, I'll splash out on a manifold spacer and a memcal.

looks like a nice daily mate![]()
Nice pickup mate, jealous of the manual haha, and my roof lining looks pretty much like yours too haha
It was terrible, it was rubbing on my head when I picked it up. I pinned it, then a few weeks later I had it fixed.
Between the crappy tint, the stuffed gear knob, the roof lining, the hick bar, the squeaky fan belt...it looked like a heap of junk to start with haha.

Looks beautiful mate! Got a red one myself
Any hints with rejuvenating the red paint?
Super tidy example now, nice work!
Ok, since the last post...
The intake manifold gasket stopped gasketting
Fitted a MACE chip, goes a bit better now.
The water pump had a seniors moment and pee'd all over the driveway, bearing gone completely and the impeller had started chewing away at the timing cover. So changed that.
Was under the back of the car considering how to mount my toolbox in the back, put my hand on the rear resonator...and my finger went straight through the side. Had a hot dog welded in place of the old resonator, makes its a little louder, but not much.
Hopefully, its starts going ok now haha.
Not bad for a daily. Considering a lip spoiler and side skirts.
