    Default My new VS

    UPDATE AND NEW PICS PG3

I just bought this car on Saturday, after my former car (VN Calais) was stolen. This one runs a rebuilt engine, with cam, heads, ect. 17*8 Allen Jones racing 3 piece wheels, fairly big stereo, new exhaust, extractors, reconditioned box, i have just bought a set of VT twin piston and cross drilled rotors for the front, and next i plan to move onto the interior and boot, stay tuned...

Thanks man glad you like it, the brakets would work real nice if they were attached to the floor, the guys i bought it off was fair dodgey with his install so it just sits there, lucky its real heavy!

Default New mods to the beast

Ive only had the car now for about 2 and a half weeks, and ive already fixed half the things i wanted to change. Right now ive done the centre console, all the surrounding plastics, the dash surround the vynal lid for the console all thats left to do is the dash pad, floor carpet and door trims and i have also debadged it (except for the lions) .

Ive changed the rear seat to make way for a VX SS rear seat and the fronts will be in shortly. Ive cleaned up all the wireing for the amp and moved it to a better spot, and today i fitted some cross drilled rotors with VT twin piston calipers. Here are some photos.

nice one.. if i get this new vs it'll need the rotors machined pretty soon so just thinkin maybe go some slotted discs anyway.

Hey mate... lookin good. What did you do to the vinyl lid, or did it just need mending? The cross-drilled brakes look unreal.

Hey gav, good to here from you again, glad you like it. The VX seats with four door panels to suit an eh, all the dash trim for an eh, front and back seats was a stunning $800 (same as my tyres) allthough dad has nicked the fronts for the EJ van so im on the hunt for some new ones (off to commwreck tomorrow!) I would like to use the VX rails for the fronts but its too much frigin around to get em to work right and be legal, so gunna stay with the VS ones.

She does pull up alot nicer under heavy braking now with the brake set up. As for the centre console, Im real happy with it and cant wait to finnish all the Vynal off so it looks tops. Next stuff is the exhaust is getting redone, the rear main seal is going to be fixed and i bought a set of type S splits for the front and a set of pioneer floor mats for it today. Take ya for a spin soon! catch ya, Zach

The vynal lid on the centre console? All i did was spray it with some VHT satin black vynal die. glad you like it, gunna look so much better when its all the same colour.

    Default Interior almost complete

Been workin hard on gettin the interior all sorted out on the beast, so far ive painted all 4 door panels to match the rest of the interior which i painted earlier, added in some Pioneer floor mats, a pair of autometer seat covers to help my stocko front seats blend in untill i can afford my VX SS ones. Ive put together a monster tacho to help get my shifts down pat when i decide its a race car :P and ive painted it in the same colour scheme as the rest of the interior so it doesnt look too outa place. Ive finnished off the back seat and its come up a treat, soooooo much better then the stock one. Ive also made a custom dash badge for my small company Notdadz Kustoms. Another thing im working towards is a custom made dash facia, ive made my needles red also.

Im also workin a bit on the stereo side of things as well, So far ive put in a new head unit (Pioneer DEH-P8650MP) new front speakers (Alpine type R coaxs) ive cleaned up the boot install to make it look a bit nicer and ive moved the amp onto the back of the box for easier access to it.

Next things that will be done are:

    Custom parcel shelf
Two more coaxs in the front doors, in custom pods (see pictures)
Finnish off the dash pad so it matches in with the doors etc
A second amp to run the front speakers
New speakers for the rear shelf
Pods for the old rear speakers that will be relocated to the rear doors
VX SS front seats for comfort, looks and stability
    New steering wheel
    New Carpet
And anything else i come up with along the way

This is my second car too so im most happy with it as im still only 17! (First car got stolen )

    Comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    Shes sweeter then before mate

I like the interior the colour looks slick on the dash, and your speaker mod looks pretty cool to is the pod desgined for both front & rears speakers? or maybe 2 front sets?

Maybe you match the interior up in other ways..

I have several ideas for my mods but it takes awhile befoer i pick the best one.. sometimes even weeks..
