Thanks dude. Should get the stato ones retrimmed in leather. Finding someone selling just the rear ones will prove hard though, and even if you do they may charge a premium knowing that you need them to complete a set.
    Goodluck man.

Cheers mate. Yeah I thought about it but I might go custom and get one of those dakota digital dashes done. Might cost more but it'll look sweet. Dunno yet, I might just leave it and get some red dials too. So many options, so little money.

Hey man absolutly love what you've done with this car. If i owned a VR id do exactly the same thing lol. Very classy with the door trims and clubsport seats. The respray looks great i especially love maranello red, my cars the same colour only thing i reckon would look even better would maybe be a diff set of 17's, but thats my opinion, keep up the great work!

Cheers mate, glad you like it. I've had those wheels for nearly 3 years now. But if I were to change them I would probably go 18's and get them engineered that way it looks good and less hassles from the cops too hopefully.

And got rid of the 3inch tip I had and put these ones on. They look ten times better.

Cheers mate. Yeah not sure yet. Thinking of a V8 conversion. Gotta find a wreck for the right price take out what I need rebuild the motor and trans then sell what I don't need. Well thats the plan but we'll see what happens I guess.

Thanks mate. The lip spoiler was supplied by the spray painter. It is a brand new one and they go for around $400 unpainted and unfitted. He got the price down for me though cos I've had a bit of work done by him in the past and he looked after me. If your in SA I can give you his details if you want.

Yeah thinking more towards the skirts all round...
    I think that it's around $400 aswell...

Oh yeah sorry. The S pac lip is a different part of the boot. Thats a standard boot with the lip spoiler on it. The kit cost me about $400, got a brand new centre peice for the rear part of the kit cos the one I bought was damaged. Thats just for the skirts, the front bumper is a brand new SS one I got about 2 years ago, that cost me $185 unpainted. I got it painted for nothing cos I had insurance work done at the same time. But you can buy the bezels and fit them to a standard bar, the bezels only cost about $40 then you gotta paint them too.

Cheers for the info Nick, might also paint and fit bezels to a stock front bar and get skirts all round... Might have to get a new paint job like your nice VR Project..
$400 just for the skirts from holden?
And how much for the SS boot lip?

    Cheers again,

pen15 - Thanks mate it's slowly getting there. The respray cost $3750. That was a closed door respray with badges and my old ss spoiler removed and holes filled. The body was in pretty good condition too.

Wavez - Nah all secondhand stuff. The rear centre piece is brand new. That cost $160 by itself and that was with discount through a friend at motor traders. That price also includes the fact that the side skirts I bought were for a statesman/wagon so I had to get 2 sideskirts rear pieces, that was another $125, my painter found some for me so I was lucky. If you go brand new (which is impossible now cos the back part of the two peice side skirts are N/A) would cost about $1300. Most wreckers will have a kit eventually and you would pay about$500-$600. The Lip on the boot is from a VR-VS S-Pac and is brand new, that cost $400 but got it cheaper cos I've had a bit of work done by my painter in the past and he looked after me. That price is unpainted and does not include fitting.

    So in summary I got

    Front and sides for $150
    Rear for $100
Replace rear part of side skirts $125
Replace centre of rear skirt (exhaust damage) $160

This was from a private seller for the front and sides and wrecker for the rear skirts.

WORST DAY EVER. I'll let the pic do the talking

    Click for a bigger pic.

I'm devastated. But it was my fault and that makes it worse. With 2 car shows in 2 weeks it is even worse. 1 this sunday and one in 2 weeks time.

Was waiting to turn left at the corner of regency and main north road and thought the chick in front had gone (well the way she went to take off it did) I was looking for traffic and moved forward while doing so (stupid I know, never done it before) and hit. Wasn't even doing probably 1kph. It's not so much the fact that the car is damaged it's that I gotta worry about getting hers fixed too and organising things with her. I got insurance but it's just the hassles of organising it all.

A few stress fractures in the bar and the fender needs replacing along with the headlight and indicator.

But on a good note. Picked something up today.
