Cheers mate. Yeah I found it ages ago, from a forum meber off here. Your VT looks pretty sweet too.
just wondering. where did you ground your amp for the sub or even put the amp? nice car btw it looks schweet
Under the parcel shelf. Its ground just behind it to the parcel shelf too. Yes, it's mounted upside down but haven't had a problem since.
lol re: amps, if they aint broke dont fix em i say haha.
Oh i just wanted to know if you know how much it was to delete your boot lock and get it welded over and sprayed? I've just got a whole s pack boot lid with spoiler and ever since seeing yours i've wanted to do it.
Also do you reckon the joins between spoiler and bootlid could be smoothed over? Reason i ask is it seems you really know whats a good price and whats not in regards to body work etc.
Your ride is all over a great choice of aesthetic mods, pretty much everything i wanna do too! I hope my commo will one day be somewhat of a nsw based green twin of yours if ya know what i mean lol.
Cheers matey, keep up the good work.
Near future....... Not much really. Saving some cash for engine work now, but don't know which way to go with that yet. I'm sure I'll find something to do on it though, it never ends. LOL.
HoldenManDan :- Yeah thats what I say mate. To delete my boot lock cost me an extra $50, this was done during the respray obvioulsy, but it shouldn't cost more than $100 on top of respraying the boot lid.
Personally i would leave the joins, there is more chance of those covered joins cracking then it will look crap. Plus if you were gunna do that use a fibreglass copy. That way you don't ruin a perfectly good genuine one.
Thanks for the comments mate.
howmuch did all those seats set you back mate? also the spack kit does it just add onto the standard kit? cause teh front bar looks dif to mine =/
VT S PACK
The seats cost me $300. A mate of mine bought a wrecker and they had those there, they were getting rid of stock to rent the property but ended up selling the business instead. Right place right time. My whole kit is SS except the spoiler. The front bumper is SS but many people use a stock exec bar and put the bezels and lights in it. The S and SS kit are exactly the same except the spoilr is different and the S doesn't have foglights. Might look different cos of the colour coded moulding instead of the black, grey or chrome too.
Nah nothing so far. Just enjoying it really. I got new front shocks, strut tops, h/duty link pin kit, z bar bush and radius rod bush from pedders installed last weekend. Handles heaps better now.
cheers for the post in my ride. i like ur car its looks touch and unique , sounds like a good car will have to see it sometime.
With Great Horsepower Comes Great Irresponsibility
Thanks mate. You going on the HCC cruise on the 19th? I should be there, come over and say hi.

Hello and welcome to the site mate. The tail lights I currently got are off the Calais. The ones I had before are an aftermarket tail light. Both of these you would probably best find them on ebay seeing as you in another country.

Hey mate wow one of the best looking VR'S i have seen i must say.
Just a quick question where did you get the chrome stripes that go around the windows in this picture - http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...o/DSCF1885.jpg
Thanks mate and good luck with future mods.
Thanks for the comment mate. I got them at a local wrecker. The whole set cost me $150. They came out on the Berlina and Calais models of the VR/VS's.
Ah thanks for that ill be sure to have a look around for some they really set the car off.
nice wrk nick =D
getting stuck on speed humps snice ya grandma was a virgin...
One of the best VR's I've seen...love the colour. Nice center console, any plans to change the dash? Keeping up the woodgrain theme throughout the car would top the inside off nicely I reckon![]()
Thanks for the comment mate. No plans to change the dash. The interior is pretty much done I think, there is always something else I find to do though. Yeah I'll keep the wood grain theme I like it.
hey mate beutifull vs, i wanna put the berline chrom bith aroound the doors and such, where did u get that from and howmuch did it set u back? also how do u put it on, another question. where did u get the handles from? they look awsum.
VT S PACK
Cheers mate. The calais chrome around the windows I got from a wrecker for $150. I got the spray painters to put them on for me when they resprayed the car. The handles I got done myself. Took the handles apart and got them chromed, the only prob is you need to replace the rubber stopper behind the handle. You'll see what i mean when you pull it apart.
Hey man, whats new? Hope you're still looking after this schmick VR of yours! Just wondering what bumper inserts you've got in your front and rear bumpers, are they the rubber type and were they painted? I'm about to get a new bumper and want the inserts in as it looks better than without.
Cheers man![]()
Not much really, just looking after it. I guess your talking about the body mould inserts? They are acclaim inserts, original GM product and cost about $60 each. They were painted the same colour as the car by the spray painter. They do look a lot better than without.
