Welcome,
Love the polish job on the engine, nice work.
Keep us posted,
Steve
looks nice, wots wif the 2 security lights under the stereo
Thanks for the comments guys.
The one on the left is the factory immobiliser and the other is the aftermarket alarm. the alarm is hooked up to the factory immobiliser so when i lock the doors the alarm arms at the same time. i didn't want one drilled in to the dash like most others and wanted it to blend in so i came up with that.Originally Posted by fitzy2005

thanks for the warning.got that at a swap meet for $75. saw the exact same one at repco with pod filter for $140. so a good price i think.
hey nice lookin car u got, is that a custom box or did u buy the box 4 ya sub

thanks mate. i made that one. i wanted a sub and i like to have my boot space, so i put it out the way and needed to make a box for it.
yea mate looks gud, thats wat i want, my boot space, so im just puttin the 1 in the centre where the bit folds down, looks good where u put it, good job

i like using that fold down bit too so thats another reason i put it there.

Ohhh i wonder if they would sell it without the POD filter? Hmm... Still be cheaper to take yours lol jksOriginally Posted by NickVR
i often thought if they would but never asked. i was gunna "borrow" some steel tubing about the same size from maintainence at work then get it mandrel bent and heat coated but found this and thought it was cheaper to get this. still an interesting idea if u wanna do it.
very nice ride, love the wheels they suit it very nicely

Thanks mate. Yeah still lookin'. Apparently Holden still make them so this weekend i'll go down and have a chat to them.
i think you'll find they dont have them but no harm in trying
thats what i thought but i've been told they do. i'll find out tomorrow hopefully. fingers crossed.
Ok it's official. they are obsolete. oh well I'll keep looking, or hope that rare spares makes them.
sweet ride man...i don't mind the blue i've got on my VN at the moment..but next car i get definitely has to be red...
<<DRIVE IT LIKE ITS HOT>>
"Calais, interior is rezzed, mess my interior, its suicide you d!ckhead"
Thanks man. Yeah I love the Red on it, one of the better colours i think.
nice ride mate! that chrome intake pipe really makes the engine bay...the clean you gave it helps it out alot also, i've been threatening to do this to mine for weeks but hasnt happened yet :P how did you do it and how long did it take you??
VN2NV, i declare a thumb war for the intake pipe!haha
sub box looks at home, very smooth install mate, be proud of it
car looks schmick as, great polish job!
keep us posted
Thanks mate. I used metal polish (autosol) and some steel wool. and then with a rag and metal polish to finish it. the rest was just wiped over with a rag to clean it. if you want it to come like new i onced used tyre shine but it looked good for a little while but you gotta keep on top of it or it will attract dust and get quite dirty. took my time and did a bit at a time. so not sure on time factor.Originally Posted by VR_Project
Looks like i might need to secure that intake pipe so it doesn't grow legs and go missing. lol. the sub is in a good position cos i like to use my boot space it comes in handy. i'll definately keep you posted. got a few mods in the pipeline as we speak. mostly visual mods but hopefully in the next couple of months should have them on. just a little more saving to do.
thanks nick
