Hey guys, I've been a member of Just Commodores for a while now, but have only just really started posting on the forums recently. I finally had a chance to get some pics of my ride to post up. Here it is (I hope the pictures attached properly). On the lookout for some 18's now

looks good, but, if i were you, get some series 2 indicators for the quarter panel, remove the black strips from the sides, paint boot garnish white & debagde the back, & a nice set of 18's
not a fan of new kits on older cars but that looks ok. not sure of the wheels though. but a clean looking car overall.
Cheers, yeah the indicators are coming soon, I only just had the car kitted last week, I want to remove the strips as well, and definitely need the 18's to fill those wheel wells a bit better. The car was completely stock when I bought it so it's getting thereOriginally Posted by Charg'd (sexy vn chick lover)

Thanks, yeah personal opinion on kits I think. Most people stick to what's made for the car but I wanted something a bit different, and I think the VX Clubsport kit looks great on the VS. The wheels are a bit small compared to the car with the kit now, but I'm 100% happy with the kit, I think it looks awesomeOriginally Posted by NickVR

thats a nice lookin vs, kit looks good will look better with the black strips removed and nice set of 18's, and the new idicators on side, i agree with charg'd paint the back and de-badge the back and will look tons better tho i rekon leave the front badge on. Still nice vs, keep the work up

Yep most of that's coming soon, definitely have to get rid of the orange side indicators and replace them with the clear ones. I also wouldn't mind clear tail lights, not the Altezza, but just the clear-silver type. They might suit the car better. The car's come a long way since stock...Originally Posted by wes_v8
What else you done to it since you bought it other than the kit?
I'd definitely take the door moulds off and the Holden Acclaim badges off the rear...And agreed about the indicators and the badges on the guards too...
With some 18's it will look sweet man![]()

, except for the 18's that's all going to be fairly easy.
Other than the kit I've put on the rims, the tint, new stereo, Pacemaker extractors, Lukey exhaust, cold air intake... It sounds nice![]()
comin along pretty well kit looks killa, make sure u dont put a spoiler on i wanna take mine off.
Thanks, yeah I don't want a spoiler. They asked me when the kit was put on but I think a spoiler would be too much. Definitely better without a spoiler... Your car looks awesome too!![]()
very nice that car looks so tough. nice work

Thanks! I love your VL too! I was just checking it out in the forums, I like the two-tone paint job you've had done to it. The colour's great, it looks mean with the tint and that colour!Originally Posted by vlfury
Hey Man, great ride!
loving the kit, definately need to lose the door moulds to help the car flow, also have u thought about painting ur door handles? While ur at it possibly debadge the whole car leaving only the "lion" badges on the boot and bonnet, looks much smoother, i did this to my VR and for something different i replaced my "lion" badges with HSV "helmet and lion" badges. Painting the boot garnish was a good idea by charg'd too.
clear side indicators look ten billion times better than the yuck orange ones, i put mine on my car today!
not a fan of the clear tail lights, especially with a white car, tinted tail lights look awesome though, and 2 pak black ones also get me goin like a 10 year old lookin at boobs...
good move on leaving the spoiler off, looks much smoother and once its lowered and has some nice 18's under the guards it will look absolutely schmick on the exterior.
Keep up the good work and keep us posted on any future developments![]()
Thanks! Yeah I've thought about painting the door handles white, painting the boot garnish is a great idea, so I might get it done at the same time when I get around to that. Not sure if I should get those door strips painted white or risk taking them off. I'd love to lower it, but any lower with the kit and I won't be able to take it over speed humps hehe. Definitely needs the 18's though! I'm on the lookout for some, I like the rims that I have so maybe get those in an 18".
The clear side indicators are on my immediate to-do list, not sure what to do with the tail lights yet. The clear ones would look good on a white car, but yeah the tinted ones I have on there now look good, I haven't seen the black 2 pak ones before though? What are they like?
That looks like a nice VR, I looked in the forums but couldn't find any larger pictures of it that you'd posted.
to get the door mouldings off isnt hard, use some fishing line to get under the moulding and pry it up a bit, then it isnt too hard to slowly take it off by hand, then there's the sticky double sided stuff, try and get most of it off with your nails and then you can use something like eucalyptus oil or polish to get the rest off, and you wouldnt know it was ever there! Also remember with larger rims they will increase your ride height, so you may just be able to lower it yet![]()
thanks for ur comments on my VR, i have some larger pics in the "Post ur VR-VS pics" thread

Yeah your VR looks neat! Can't wait to see it with the bigger rims, you got a good buy with that![]()
Thanks for the tip with the strips, I'll have to give it a go. Will definitely look sleeker without them. Hopefully with the bigger rims it'll give me more room to lower the car, would love to fill in those wheel wells a bit better...
