The VZ is here! About time!
A lot went down on my street on Tuesday night. I was in Adelaide attending seminars. A man that lived around the corner from my house was run down for stealing the attackers newly rebuilt car and setting fire to it at around 10.00 PM. My parents were interviewed that night by the local police as we live no more than 10 meters away from the "murder". Once everything had settled down it was 1.00 AM, and they went to bed. At 3.00 AM they were awoken by a car horn. Dad went out the front to investigate and saw that my car had been broken into, so he called the police, no longer than 1 hour after they had left the street. When the police arrived after close to an hour, they said that this was the 3rd car stolen or attempted to be stolen in the last two nights and left, no finger prints, photos nothing. I was now left with a car with a smashed rear window, minced up chrome window strip, a kicked in rear quarter (panel behind rear door), and damaged leather seats and window tint on the drivers side rear door. Insurance will only cover the smashed window
Unfortunately that is not the end of it. Yesterday when my window was replaced and the mechanic was driving it back from the tinters, he noticed that the brakes weren’t working properly, and it turns out that the brake master cylinder is not working, which was brand new in July of last year (not the only faulty or no roadworthy thing that Holden dealer put in my car), so there goes another 400 bucks.![]()

Hey mate,
Nice car. Its good to see another Lexcen around! I've only had mine for a couple of months so haven't really done much to it yet. I've put on some calais tail lights and boot garnish so from the back it looks just like a commodoreGonna lower it, get the windows tinted and put in a full alarm system soon.
Sorry to hear about your car getting broken intoBut at least it wasn't stolen. I'd hate to lose my baby!
Hope to see some more pics when you start the future mods.
Good luck with your car, and year 12!
Thanks mate, the car will be all good again, as RAA have now agreed (talked to a different person) that they will have it looked over by there inspector on Monday, then any panel damage caused will be fixed. It just goes to show that its not necessarily the insurance company, but the people you speak to. Unfortunately ill be back in Adelaide so i wont be there, but Dad will take care of it for me.
Got a quote for a cat back exhaust and extractors from the local Carline Mufflers. Im not happy at all with the catback price, but the extractors seem good, but i dont know what type of extractors they are as Dad got the quotes when my window was replaced. The exhaust and extractors will be fitted ASAP.

Look mate, when i first saw the car i fell in love with it, and i do not have a problem with it being a Toyota. There are a few diffeneces betwen the commodore and the lexcen, but the car is still 99% the same as a commodore, not that it matters. So what if it has different headlight, front bumper and badging, i really dont care. I cop it at school to, and I will tell you what i tell them, I like it, thats what matters.
Thanks mate, hopfully she will be sweet soon.what makes it so different from you car besides a few visual things. thats a fair stupid comment to make if you know anything about them at all. by way nice car mate, the wheels make it look tuff hopefully she will be lookin sweet again soon.![]()
I get people saying stuff to me all the time about my car being a Toyota too. I've had people telling me I should change my car into a Commodore, but I don't see much point in it. The only reason I put Holden tail lights and boot garnish on my car was because I like the look of them better then the Toyota ones, but I have no other problems with it being a Toyota.
I was even showing someone my car and they asked why I put Toyota badges on a Commodore! Lol.
man nice car. but the price for that catback....walk away man, walk away. get the extractors but
yeh good. you can get a lukey setup for 250-280
no probs. hate to see ppl getting ripped off
G'Day, I noticed from your pictures that you gas converter is high and up the front. This seems like a bad place as it may get airlocks in it. The highest spot in your coolant system should be you bleader valve on top of the thermostat housing. if you have problems with your LPG iId suggest moving the converter to down below on the inner left hand (near side) guard, just forward of the firewall. You will probably have to get a licensed LPG fitter to do it, but that is where it should have been in the first place. have fun. Russel .
The gas system is coming out sometime in the next couple of months so im not really fussed by it, but thanks for pointing it out.
hey good to see anothe lexcen.mines the same colour as urs but with pursuits and clear lights.ive debadged it and spray painted the lexcen bit on the boot with matt black.all my mates beleive its a commodore till they see the dash
looks good even for a toyota... just kidding. If you like it then screw everyone else really.. you might want to think about sealing the pod filter off from the hot air near your engine as all you're doing is sucking in hot air and losing power. Have a look on here for cold air intakes as there's plenty here on that kinda mod.
As far as catbacks go, see what redback has to offer for the V6. I paid 500 for my redback system on the LS1.
The only reason I was running a pod was I was having major problems with the gas backfiring, no matter what i did, the pod stopped me blowing air boxes up lol. The pod filter was removed when i stopped running the car on gas which was around 6 months ago. Thanks for the advice anyway mate![]()
very nice looking car, like the gray leather too
