Angry VR Stroker Auto Idle Problem

Problem: Intermitantly the engine sticks on a 1500 or 2500 RPM idle without any visible reason.Throttling the motor to drop the revs does not work and infact makes it worse. The engine is 50000KM old and has always had a 1200 rpm idle when cold but settles down to 1000 RPM when warm. The last time it happen i opened up the throttle all the way and then the engine settlted down.Yesterday in a warm state opening the throttle up caused the engines to lock into a 2500 rpm idle.Does anyone have any ideas.Help

id take your throttle body off completely and give it a good going over with some carby cleaner man. make sure the butterfly isnt sticking at all and also give the IAC valve and the ports for the vacuum and IAC a good clean too.
thats your first thing to do to rule out any problems there.

i'll go with sircruise and say that you need to look at the TB and IAC. possible the IAC sticking fully open. a can of crab cleaner should hopefully sort it out
