G'day everyone,
Here's my trusty VS, which is currently for sale or swap for a smaller car. Has the Ecotec V6 auto, Genie extractors, 2 1/2" exhaust, big stereo, pod filter, lowered, body kit and 17" Avantek chromies. Has been a dream to drive. I get 9-10.5L/100km, not bad for a 6.
Cheers, Steve

what made you put that VT wing on it?
It was on it when I got it. It's a little different though, not too many VS's have it. I might have changed it if I kept it though.....
BTW Check out the For Sale section for a listing on the VS if interested.........
Has been listed on ebay. Here's the link....

Pretty sure the previous owner did the pod filter changeover himself, I fitted a new Drift pod filter a few months ago...
Not sure what brand leads they are, I know theyre black......
Do the Bosch leads make much difference??
Change the pod professtionally hahahaha OMG classic post mate, as if u would pay sumone to put it on, screw driver n 2min does it.
NO the bosch leads wont make a difference, the gen leads are great, dont know y u would hang crap on them, ive seen probs with aftermarket leads(misses etc), then gen leads fix it.
crazywog ur name says everythink, u are a crazy one indeed
isnt the vs supposed to have drivers air bag as standard?

Yeah the airbags were available as an option but weren't standard on all the VS's....
The sports wheel looks better anyway.....
BTW ebay has removed the listing due to my intention to swap for a 4 cyl, even though other listings have the swap intention in there.....Will put on carsales.com.au soon...

its got me stuffed why u'd put a pod filter on a commodore.. i've seen nothing but bad things with them... in summer my mate had one in his vs and every 45 mins or so it would cook and the comp would need to be reset... damn annoying having a vs stall at the traffic lights... the damn pod filter drove the comp nutz! over heating all the time and everything... took that off bolted on the CAI and a filter not a prob bro! goes heapz quicker... no need to remind you that cold air is better for an engine then hot.. so put a cai on that.. done waste time with a stupid pod...
I think its a matter of preference. Sure the CAI might get more air than the pod, but the air still has to get into the engine and passes through the hot engine bay anyway, through the air hose that is warm anyway.. Even if it is for a matter of seconds.. You can modify your engine bay to allow more air flow to the pod
No doubt that the pod is cosmetically better looking, and even owners of high performance cars have them so they must be ok.
My VS has never stalled, the ECU has no dramas, and it has great pickup and fuel economy, 9-10.5L/100km...
You sure your mate installed it right?? Overheating has **** all to do with the air filter, more likely a cooling system fault...
gotta remember too man i'm all the way up ere in mildura we got 48* days in summer.. and thats not on the road... i dont know if he did it properly but i think its all to do with were its put i'm not a fan of having them near the engine pods are still very good and flog a panel filter anyday.. but in a commodore i think there useless unless u can move it away from the motor
Fair enough...I suppose the further south you go, the cooler it is and the better the pod will go. Point taken
I will consider trade for a ute, 4WD, or smaller car of interest.. Anyone wanna swap a ute for a SEDAN???
g'day i was wondering how u would install a pod filter on a vs commo because i have a problem with these cables on the side of the original air box. do these cable do anything anyway.. thanx
