Cool Sam Brown's VR BT1 5L - FOR SALE

edit: THIS CAR IS NOW UP FOR SALE
$7000 with VT SS 17s

My name's Sam, this is one of my two cars, a 1994 VR BT1. It was a Northern Queensland unmarked pursuit car in a former life, now boasting a few nice mods which help it not only perform well but also sound great, and it turns more than its fair share of heads.

{more pics on page 2}

Here's the list:

- lower Lovells springs (not sure of spec, these came with the car)
- adjustable panhard rod (on-car adjustable)
- 19 inch shadow chrome Starcorp Fusion rims with machined lip
- Stage 2 auto with strengthened internals
- extractors, full dual 2.5" straight-through exhaust with hi-flow cats & dump pipes before diff
- HSV cold air intake, K&N panel filter
- different radiator pressure cap
- Straight-cut timing gears
- Pioneer head unit, Clarion 6" splits, Alpine S type 6x9s, 2 Alpine S type 12" subwoofers running off a 450W Alpine mono amp
- Respray in factory white, Altezza headlights and taillights, clear side indicators
- Spoiler removed
- Custom moulded and smoothed front and rear bumpers incorporating VS HSV Manta skirts
- custom tune: greenfoam spec

202rwhp, here's the video: YouTube - SS on the Dyno 2

That figure was recorded before the memcal went in, it'll be interesting to see how much difference that's made.

Incidentally, the car can be spotted on SC LIVE! DVD VOLUME 12 in the WA Dyno Day section

Nice SS mate, it looks really neat. You need the SS foglights on it I reckon.

The previous owner sprayed the entire car in white, he just layered over door handles, aerial, everything. Bit dodgy, flaking off in some places.. I'm planning to do it all again in the near future. Just the factory white paint though, nothing special. I think the paint and thinners etc only cost him a few hundred total.

Paid only $5500, without stereo, without rims. All other mods were done already. 260,000km or so when I got it. It's getting dyno tested in November at the Street Commodores dyno day here in Perth, I'll be sure to post up the results!

I'm thinking about them, definitely. And the red striping. I have the SS decals ready to go on when I decide what I'm doing with the paintwork. It's hard to work on a project when it's the daily driver and I'm at uni full time....

Thanks for the support guys, i appreciate it!

lol blew up my 12" today, got a double box going in tomorrow with 2 subs the same (Alpine 12" type S) from the same amp etc... Hopefully it goes hard!

mate, i'd be tempted to leave the red decals and stripping off. the cal looks pretty damn hot as is. the ss foggies would look killer 4 sure, and some calais door stripping and chrome handles would set it off
killa ride man

Can you get chrome handles for the VR/VS?? I can't remember ever having seen any... That would look good, I'm still debating the striping and decals side of things. It'll be a while before I sort out the paint anyway unfortunately, I've a fair few things to sort out first

Interior or exterior? The interior you can't get from Holdens anymore, you need to source them from a wrecker and if you find them you won't get them for any less than $200. The exterior you can get done yourself, I did mine and it cost $120 to get them chromed.
