Dont want to say too much yet, as i havent had it tuned to suit the TTB yet, but it has made more power and much more mid range torque. First thing in the morning she idles pretty rough, but after about 10 minutes its fine. The throttle responce is great too. If you want one its worth it, BUT i would definately recommend you think about the future mods you have planned first. The charger i originally planned for will not fit with the TTB due to the intake on the charger being to close to the throttles when they are both fitted. Just research it all before you go. Ill still be charging her, but unfortunately not with the Raptor V anymore.

Yeah, only recently joined this forum, so still very new. Not a whole lot has changed recently. I had the Auto Shift-Kitted a few weeks ago, which helped with the eratic changes caused by the TTB. Also in the process of speaking to Tim about modifying the Raptor V to fit the TTB, aside from that not a whole lot, just researching the blower situation.

How funny was that. I almost fell off my chair when i read it. I would kill for numbers like that with those mods. Even when i get a blower i might not get 200rwkw. Last time i checked a blower will give more than 13rwkw. Maybe it was a typo and was supposed to be 187kw at the flywheel. Still a BIG maybe though.

Hey mate, i must say i love the colour! Nice amount of mods too, and yours is like the first vs i've seen with the monaro bonnet that actually looks good! Same goes for the interior, seen so many half-assed jobs and you can tell! I'm with RVN 355 with the vents too, they fit in really well. You'll be grinning from ear to ear once you get the tune to suit the ttb, i've seen fairly awesome gains from just adding the ttb!

    Look after her mate

Cheers mate, 220rwkw would be nice. As for Ecotecs with big power, thats the goal, not crazy power, just respectable street power.

I love the colour too. With all the body mods, most of it has been resprayed too, i think the doors and roof are the only panels untouched. Hopefully the gains will be good, but im waiting for the charger before i get the tune, dont want to fork out that kind of money twice. I agree about the bonnet, i was a bit worried about it, cos i hadnt seen any VS with it when i ordered it. I think it looks good because the VX Clubby Kit has similar lines down the middle, so it all blends in well together. Cheers for the comments mate.

    Cheers mate,

Bit of a story behing the VZ indicator price. Got quoted at about $900 to cut them in and respray both panels. Thought it was a bit pricey. Then i got hit from behind at a set of traffic lights, causing me to run into the car in front of me. Not very happy about that, but both front panels and front bar needed to be resprayed. Seeing as that was now happening, i got them to cut the guards in. ($300 on top including Genuine VZ Guard Flutes from Holden). So really, in a weird way the accident was the reason i got them in. Saved me about $600.

I've been spending some time around force fed cars lately and I'm starting to get itchy.I've been looking at the different options and at this moment in time I think I will be going with a vortech blower for fitting ease more than anything else.

Im lucky in that respect. Dont spend much time around blown cars at all so i cant be tempted as easily. Probably the only reason shes not already blown! Ive also been speaking to Steve from Mace Engineering about their new blower setup, which will definately fit, and not as pricey as other blowers. Just no reputation yet. Had my heart set on the Raptor V setup so ill wait and see how Tim goes with fitting ideas before i make up my mind. Whats the Vortech setup you want worth?

I'm not sure on final cost, base kit is 4k.

I think the reverse mount Vortech kit is best for the twin throttle setup ........ at least until I manufacture some reverse rotation blowers (a fair way off). Might be your best option IMHO.

I gather the ease of fitting comment was in relation to the twin thrott setup.

220rwkw it's quiet achievable from the stock internal ecotec and has been proven a few times, unfortunately mine is just shy of that mark with 214rwkw but i will find that 6kw as i want to reach the magic 300rwhp mark, which is more than enough to make it a fun daily.

Good luck with it mate, nice ride. I will be following your progress as i am keen to see which f/i path you go down and what effect the twin t/b has. You could always sell the twin t/b and go back to single or get a twin made upso the t/b's are on the passenger side, then just run an i/c raptor setup.

I will have to consider all my options. Had thought about a reverse plenum to run an intercooled Raptor, but that will incurr extra costs. I am looking at a goal of 200rwkw, and i think i can get there cheaper by using a blower that will fit with the current TTB, rather than messing around with costs of reversing plenums and such.

On a seperate subject, i have finally finished the front door trims, and they are back on. Check out the last picture in my first post, and let me know what you think. Cheers.

That looks awesome. Love the look of that door trim. Good to see you thought about how the trim flows and not just painted the door handle a bright colour. Well done.

Cheers for the positive feedback on the trim guys.

Had my heart set on the Raptor V setup, but it looks as though that is out, due to fitting issues. Have also been speaking to Steve from Mace Engineering about their new blower setup, which will definately fit, just a bit worried about being a guinea pig, so ill wait and see what happens.

Can be done there but not sure he is prepared to do that, in fact I am certain he won't want to.

Is the new blower an internal gear drive or belt drive?
