Hey guys, I’ve been a member of JC since I got my first car in July ’06, so I thought it was time I posted my ride up for all to see.
Name: Daniel
Model: 1996 VS Series II Exec w/ factory manual. It came stock with V5W country pack suspension, no airbags, no ABS, sump guard, fuel tank guard, 16” VR clubby replicas, tow bar, and somewhere along the way picked up a high performance LSD.
Colour: Sherbrooke green metallic
Odometer: 189,XXX when I got it, about 206,XXX now (24/2/08)
Bodykit: what the?
Engine Type: Ecotec 3.8
Engine Mods: Enlarged CAI with K&N filter, 8.8mm top gun leads, NGK iridium spark plugs
Exhaust: HM headers to lukey 2.5” cat back, no rear resi, twin 2.5” tip
Gearbox: Getrag M35
Diff: Fully rebuilt, nice and tight LSD with 3.5:1 gears, new rubber coupling (at front of prop shaft), new tailshaft bearing, centre bearing and uni joint
Brakes: VT twin piston calipers painted with bright red engine enamel/matt black paint, with 296mm gold electroplated curved slotted rotors with police pads, non contact areas painted black. 1" VT master cylinder, braided lines. DBA OE spec rear rotors, non contact areas painted black, with red painted calipers.
Suspension: King springs super lows in front, ultras in rear with KYB short shocks all round, adjustable panhard rod
Wheels/Tyres: 19" VE SS-V's with 235/35/19 Nankang NSII rubber
Interior: Saas steering wheel, genuine monaro pedals, monza gear knob, monza sports seats in front, custom centre console lid, green neons on console, in footwells, under front seats and in boot, green security light, switchable on/off interior light (so can be off with doors open), checkerplate in doors, redone rooflining, level 3 cluster upgrade
Sound System: Work in progress, Pioneer DEH-P4850MP head unit with custom ipod interface, pioneer 350w 6x9’s in vinyl pods in rear, front will have EFX-HDX67 6” 300w splits, with Cadence twin 12” subs in complete box to also go in. Will be running 2 amps, one for front and rear speakers, another for the subs + probly a 2 farad capacitor.
Other Mods: Clear indicators, painted engine cover, gloss painted CAI, filter box, fuse box, coils. Mesh inserts in front bumper, twin tone air horns, engine start button, chrome pinstriping along bumpers and bump strips, sump guard removed, towbar removed, debadged rear, custom full chrome berlina grilles, calais tail lights, s-pac boot lip spoiler, boot lock delete, painted boot garnish, remote boot release
Future Mods: L67 conversion, new front windscreen, altezza headlights and front indicators, get a better looking rear passenger side window (some bastard decided one night to smash it and atm got a fairly scratched window in there), then darker tint all round, finish stereo, rockers, perforated leather re-trim...
In writing this I go over the list and think, "is that all?" I've probably forgotten some stuff but then again maybe not.
