yeah man i still secretly want a Calais. but at the moment im thinking about buying one with a good body and ****. putting it in the garage. and slowly building it up. using my vr as my daily. but trust me if i buy a vl its not going to be a RB30. im thinking maybe an LS1. or just a injection 5 litre.

but thats after im happy with the vr.


probably keep my eyes open for a vl calais wagon if anyone has one for sale.

any sort of v8 or turbo for under 25 would cost ya a bucketload in insurance....

sounds like a good idea but must going to be a very long build if you want a V8, wont be able to drive it for what 4 more years?? lol
last cruise i went on a LS1 calais taged along sounded like a animal

yeah. it will be a long build but well worth it in the end. its almost holidays time again. so thats more than likely when the conversion will take place.

At the moment the car is up on stands under the car port. been cleaning off all the crap from under the guards so i can properly sound deaden them. i will write up a tutorial once i hav finished it all.

but other than that not much happening. im very happy with the outcome of the polish and wax. got rid of a lot of the smaller scrathes on her

The Fun Starts Today.

Today i picked up the Donor Car for my manual and diff conversion.

drove it back from belmore without a hitch except it smells like crap inside.

the lsd seems rather tight. might have to get it looked at after the conversion but all went well.

Anyone after any vn wagon series 2 parts??

i Will Post up pictures of the wagz tomorrow. after i give it a bit of a wash. and tidy up..

i love the key i got with it.. a flat head screw driver lol..

Ok well no real progress to my car to report. but more with the donor car.

i got the manual gearbox, clutch, flywheel, tail shaft and gear box loom out.

now the only things left to take out of it is the pedal box, clutch cable, manual starter motor, manual ecu and engine loom.

then i have to move on to the lsd and taking that out.


only came across one real problem. couldn't get the exhaust off from around the gearbox so i pulled out the angle grinder and cut it off.

Picked up my Brand new exedy clutch today. all ready to go into my car now.

Edit:
Yesterday. got a few more things out of the wreck ready to go into my car.
took out the complete manual loom and ecu. the pedal box. Clutch Cable. and also the starter motor and gearbox plate.


all ready to go now. taking the auto out tomorrow

haven't tried it on gas though.


lol had it on stands and first try. i still had it switched to gas.
revved it letting out the clutch and it almost stalled and jerked a bit. lucky it didn't fall.
