I should be able to get me 19's within a fortnight now, im not sure if i wanna go a little lower as well but ill see how she looks when i get new wheel fitted.

On new years day me mates and i did a lil cleaning to our cars and went on a lil photo shoot. Also got a video recording of our exhausts, accelerating quickly. Sound pretty good, I will get a copy of it and post it up here later.

I know in the VR/VS there's a steel bar behind where the antenna buttons and security light are and this probably needs to be grinded out. There's a few other bits and pieces in behind here as well. The guys who do the lcd conversions into this are usually have to grind this out as well to make them fit.

You'd also need a new stereo surround facia panel, and if you're doing this to a statesman, I really don't know if I'd bother because of the antenna buttons, climate control stuff around this area or at the very least... buy parts off ebay and customise them... don't do this to your original parts so that you can go back to factory if needed! I've only seen what's behind here in a stock VS and it's enough to keep me away from hacking it all up.

As for the bracket, should be able to use the standard bracket on the sides of the upper din area and fit it like a normal stereo would, but you may need a supporting screw or two in the lower din area to keep it down.

nice car, and yeah i have seen a few vs with double din, but seems like they are alot of work, or could cost ya a bit to get it done up, but would look nice though

Roo 1 - Statesman 0

Was driving on putty road from a good long weekend outwest seeing relatives. So yeh basically roo jumped out from long grass 6:30 this morning about 20km north of windsor now she's sitting at Lansvale Smash Repairs. All the damage is aesthetics no damage done to the radiator or anything. So that was a bonus.

yeah that looks mostly to be panel damage althogh i wouldnt bother with a panel looks like a bonnet grill bumper and head light job you could fix it in 2 hours

Im having some trouble sourcing front bar, bonnet and grill. I just rang 10 wreckers up and they aint even wrecking any statesmans, i cant believe that there having some trouble in sydney sourcing these parts.

I also picked up a bargain off ebay, 7" motorised touchscreen dvd player. When i get my new sound gear thats when its most likely to be installed. But for now it'd be sitting in its box.

Sup fellas sorry i havent been here! well the reason i aint been here is because after about a month living in St Marys some dude T-Boned me at an intersection. And the Statto got written off i threw a tantrum inside the car afterwards and fractured my little finger on each hand, so the other guys insurance forked out gave me back more money than i payed for it towed it back to Taree and sold it to a mate for 800 Bucks.

So now what i been driving around in now is a VT S Pac only bought it on saturday. And i hope to be more active on the forum now. I will start a new thread soon with my car details soon.
