    Default VR Wagon

    Hey guys,
Just thought id post a few pics of my car....

    Info:
    1993 VR Commodore Executive Wagon.
    V6 3.8L, 5 Spd Manual 133,xxx kms.

    Work so far...
Interior - Resprayed all panels black (with dark grey combo)
New black plush carpet and roof lining
Pioneer DVD headunit, amp, 12" Sub etc etc
Sports pedals (a wank i know, but the others needed replacing).

Exterior - Resprayed few weeks ago.

Mechanical Upgrades - 2.5" Exhaust, CAI, K&N Air Filter, reprogrammed ECU, VX Injectors, new clutch (performance), Alarm system (not sure on the exact model, but its super sensitive, very very loud and the remote key beeps when it goes off).

Power - Hard to say, better than stock. For what its worth i beat a VY S in a drag the other day (it was a normal ecotec). So 130kws? maybe a little more...

Future Upgrades - 18" VY SS rims (hopefully this weekend), lower rear suspension, darker (fresh) window tinting, xbox/inverter + rear headrest LCDs.
Had thought about upgrading the brakes as supposedly the VR brakes arnt that good, but these seem awesome. Very responsive and i can easily lock the all 4 wheels on a dry day (not even pushing flat to the floor). So ill probably leave it as is.

Aim - To create a clean looking car, nothing to flash just a good example of a well kept commodore.

She goes very well, the new ECU works amazingly on the manual versions. Sounds nice when you give it a bit, but very very quiet on the road (driving normally). Ive replaced and serviced a lot of parts recently for the hell of it (waterpump, fuel pump, power steering (all parts), brakes, clutch, injectors, fuel tank and the list goes on). So hopefully everything works nicely from now on. I had considering supercharging it, but honestly its quick enough for me plus i currently get 700km from a single tank (68L). So thats pretty damn good efficiency (mind you thats not going above 2500rpm).

Once i put the new rims on ill take a few pics of the interior/engine bay. The engine is so clean (only 130,000kms) and looks awesome (for a V6 anyway :P)

Just imagine it with 18" VY SS Rims, darker window tint, lowered a bit more and the holden badge on the front bonnet. Not too bad.

Oh and for the record, if you look back to the for sale section a few months ago i was trying to sell this for $1500... Apparently wasn't worth it (At that stage it had a dint in the roof, no sound system and the old clutch).

Ive got one of those black badges to go on, but im thinking the silver lion is better looking. As the car was just resprayed im letting the paint set properly before sticking the badge on.

Dont currently have any pics of the interior, will be taking some this weekend (or next) after lowering, adding the new rims and having the windows re-tinted.

Btw, can anyone recommend where to get windows tinted in South East Suburbs of Melbourne? Dont mind what it costs, but want a really good job and perhaps the "darkest "legal" tint"

EDIT - Also, can someone link me to an ebay add for the lion badge which would fit my bonnet? Im not sure exactly what im looking for.

    Cheers,
