Fuel Pump?

Hi all,
was wondering if anyone know anything about fuel pumps. this is in regards to my VS S Ute, it is a very new aquisition and i was wondering if a high pitch whine is normal to hear? i have not heard it before now, but i am not sure if it has been like that since i got it. Would it be likely that i can just hear it more due to positioning as it is a Ute, or is it definately on it's way out!?

They do whine/hum a little, not being in a ute myself i cant say if it would be more noticeable in a ute or not, but on odd occasions i can hear mine and mines fairly new.

Also, you might wanna try posting in the correct section next time, youll get more responses (this is for pictures of your car)

my commi used to get approx 800k's to a full tank but now im lucky if i get between 400 to 600k's is there any way to increase the k's i get per tank i.e. extractors....induction kit??? or do i need to redo the injectors cause i cant hear them ticking
