Default Andy68's Series II VS WAGON

This is my 96 VS Wagon, a very good starting point as it is in immaculate condition..
    cheers all, Andy

well today was a productive day...my only downside to getting this new car was the roof lining had collapsed as the foam had basically disintergrated so was sittin on ya head and held with drawing pins.....got a quote for getting it redone and $200.....bugga that...so out came the roof lining and a tin of contact adhesive and voila !!!
but jesus am i payin for it now...... hock: hock:

Also Had a go at doing an engine cover today and am stoked with the outcome.........am stickin with the burgundy theme with this car to match the plates....

Well just a bit of an update...the 2.5inch catback exhaust was fitted today am over the moon with the result....removed the large holden sticker from across the front windscreen and gave it a full detail inside and out...installed the fire extinguisher and am now waiting for the LEDS to arrive to convert the dash to electric Blue.

picked up a new towbaroff a VN wagon. basically gave it a wire brushing, a quick sand and a hit with the Gloss Black paint, will pick up one of the factory looms from metro Holden.

Well the Blue leds arrived yesterday so did the changeover last night.....Dash lighting, Airconditioning, Gear Selector and Anti theft light.very happy with the end result....the pics were taken fairly early on in the evening, so don't show up as bright as they actually are

Well after a bit of deliberation, have decided to change the colour scheme on the wagon, have chosen gold with the white....number plates have been ordered, black background with gold writing.....have done another engine cover in gold as well as the fusebox cover......a few more bits and pieces to come....

Well what a day !!! was going through the linen press today at home when I found my old Holden fleecy throw blanket,

So we gave it a quick wash, the Brain cogs started whirring, I cut out a few bits of MDF,stuck it on with some contact adheshive, and before long, I had a new boot in the wagon...Am stoked with the way it turned out.....cheers....Andy

well today started on the HSV manta door trims i picked up recently...painted the insert covers on the handles in gold.

fitted one of the trims on the drivers side today, am liking the darker colour more and more, over the light grey.

    NEW ONES:

Am going to get the door cards recovered in leather and fit them up also.

I gotta say mate I prefer the lighter grey myself. But it's up to you, Does the colour match the dash at all? The leather should look good, what colour you gunna do it in?

    bling bling!

I love the holden mat in the back... the old and and the new. I'd probably leave the old in it for wagoning around and leave the black one for show!

A few pics of the wagon with the new side skirts on....

well abit of an update....the wagon has been running like a bucket, missing under load, replaced coil packs, DFI module, spark plug leads with 8mm's platinum spark plug, fuel pump, fuel filter, and still doing it.....Ended up being the Crank Angle sensor...mechanic said he had never seen one do what mine was doing....normally they either work or they dont, but mine was failing intermittently....was breaking down @ 2500 rpm on cylinders 2 & 5...

so new CAS went in saturday and problem solved runnin like a new car.....trans is being serviced next week but today was my bargain day.....walked into my local Cash Converters store today and scored a "Brand New" OTR CAI for $20.00 and a pair of Brand new Fusion 240 watt 3 way speakers for the rear of the wagon for $30.00 the pair......had to modify the Airbox to fit the CAI and is as snug as anything so it Won't be coming off in a hurry, also had to re-route the trans cooler hoses as they were smack bang where the new snorkel sits...all in all a productive day, OTR CAI is in, rear speakers are in, and transferred the 220 Watt Pioneer 3 ways to the front door pods.....sounds great now.....a few more mods on the way Before All Commodore Day.....
