Hi guys. I've owned this car since december 06, and its changed a fair bit since i bought it. Heres some info and pics of the car. The first two pics are of the car when I first got it. Sorry about the poor quality pics they were all taken on mobile phones.

nice ride mate looks like you put abit of effort into her looks good.
Drop Clutch
it looks a TONNE better without those black strips, good work!
..like seriosly, what were desginers thinking of and i dont understand why it has to extend all the way across the rear quarter panel and on the boot *shakes head*
but yup looks much much better now!
Thanks for the comments guys. Those black stripes were a pain in the ass to get off, especially all the sikaflex stuff, but all the hard work was worth it.
I knew I'd get a comment about the tail lights lol, I got them to replace the $hitty lexcen ones.
I bought some of the calais ones with the clear indicators, the guy I bought them from said they were like brand new and they looked good in the pics he sent me, but when they got here both the boot lights and one of the tail lights were faded and when I put them on the car they looked crap.
I love the look of those wheels on a white car. I have them also lol
Chuck Norris destroyed the periodic table, because he only recognizes the element of surprise
good work man looks 100 times better than it did! good thing u got rid of the black stripe now she looks like a clean Holden VS![]()
Yeah these wheels do look good on white cars. Maybe its the black on the rims contrasting with the white car, I duno, they just look sweet
Thanks mate. I'd been meaning to get rid of the black stripe for ages but never gotten around to it until just recently. I've had so many good comments since I got rid of it, all the hard work was worth it![]()
I gotta ask, how many man hours did it take to remove all that sika flex? did you use a caramel wheel?
Yeah I used one of those caramel wheels on the end of a drill. I was lucky with the drivers side and after the car had been sitting in the sun for the day the sika flex just came off when I pulled the black stripe off. I tried the same with the other side the next day but the sika flex didn't come off. It took me at least two hours or more to get the sika flex off that side, I was being careful not to stuff my paint too. I then gave both sides a good cut and polish to blend the paint and it was all good.
With the rear quarter pannels and the boot, I pulled all that off not long after I got the car as it looked so $hit, so I cant remember how long that took me.
Looking the goods mate! You'll have to come help me take the trolley strips off...
Also was thinking, we should maybe get our cars all spic and span (wink wink mr.detailer) and then get some photos...
What do ya reckon?
I reckon the front bar looks the goods. Something a little different.
I 'removed' the strips on my old VN by doing a good 3rd gear skid and blowing both back tyres. Also great for removing the rear bumper and mud flaps. Good thing I was a painter at the time.Love that Lexan. Makes me remember ol' Ben.
haha thats what i was thinkin.. ur car looks like the nicest lexcen but the front br00oo find a vs white front barrrrrrr !!!!!![]()
Yeah mate, we'll have to do that some time. I need more photo's of my car when its all clean. And your car will look mint after a good old exterior detail.
Thanks mate. I've had a few people say they like the front bar because it makes it different to every other white commodore, then I've also had a lot of people saying I should put a commodore front bar on it. Was thinking I could put a statesman front bar and bonnet, and a caprice grill on it, as I found out the lexcen's have the same front quarter pannels as the statesmans! (Which are different to the commodore ones).
Thanks for the commentI don't know what I'm gonna do with the front end yet, I've had so many people giving me different ideas lol. Whatever I decide to do I'll post up pics once its done.
Toyota Lexcen... Now comes with leather
Only rear installed so far, will hopefully get the fronts in tomorrow, and fix up the centre in the back as I screwed it in too high so there's a bit of a gap below it.
So much more comfortable then the stock seats!
Soon to come:
-Calais tail lights
-White boot garnish
Gotta love the lexcenn'snot

~ VN POWER ~ Click the scales
Front leather seats put in this arvo. Hopefully will get around to taking a pic tomorrow as it was too dark by the time I got them in tonight.
how did u go putting in the fronts man? any trouble? The rear lools pretty good too. hope ur happy with em man.
Getting the old front seats out was a pain in the ass, but putting the leather seats in wasn't too difficult. Had a bit of trouble with the drivers seat as I didn't line it up properly but its all good now. I didn't get time to fix up the back seat but I'll do that tomorrow. They are much more comfortable then the old seats and I'm pretty happy with them. Plus its gotta be one of the first Lexcens with statesman seats![]()
lol yeh i reckon man. dont think ull see many with leather. looks pretty nice man good job
Hey man nice lexcen, how much the seats set you back if it isnt already posted in this thread. Will look a tonne better when you get them superlows in. and imo i recknon you should get some calais tail lights but thats my opinion not really a fan of the altezzas. But the rest of the car looks good
Go the stato front! Looks alot better than when u got it.
Shut up when I'm talkin' to you, you hear me, answer me!
Thanks for the comments guys. I've got some calais tail lights waiting to go in, wasn't sure about lightly tinting them first as one of them is slightly faded. I'll put the white boot garnish on too when the lights are ready.
I've been thinking of putting the statesman front on it. Only problem is statesman parts are fairly expensive and some are hard to find, but when I get the time and money I'm gonna go hunting for the parts I need.
