Here's my ride, nothing special, but something that gets me from point A to B with no hassles. It is my first car, received from my grandfather who died from lung cancer just over a year ago.
It is dead stock apart from clear side indicators, 16 inch generic HSV wheels and a bumping sound system. The car needs new shock absorbers due to it's age, bounces like a low-ryder without hydraulics. It has done nearly 250,000 km's, and also needs some new tyres. Going into that bald stage where it just tends to drift in the wet.
It's running on gas, minimal back-firing, and it's doing alright for it's age. Only problem i've had with it is when the harmonic balancer was on it's way out. replaced that now and it's running like a dream.
My car audio system:
Pioneer head-unit with ipod interface (best invention ever)
Alpine type R splits only running at around 55 watts RMS
Alpine type R subwoofer 2+2 ohm running at 500 watts RMS with a jaycar response 2x150 2 channel amp. (bridged to 500 watts RMS)
using stock VR speakers for rear fill
As soon as i collect some more money, I'm going to purchase a mono-block to power the type R subwoofer, and power the splits with the jaycar response amp. Oh, and i also need some serious sound deadener. maybe some e-dead sound deadener from eBay since dynamat is to expensive for a low budget worker.
In the future, i might tend to get my windows tinted, get a 2.5 inch cat-back and might dump it after i replace my shock absorbers.
