Looks good man, good job on the dash/screen install, too bad you cracked it though. Good luck fixing it.
I haven't had much of a chance to do anything lately as I have hardly been home the last few weeks. This weekend is free at the moment so I will try to get a bit done then

Thanks mate. The screen is fixed, but still un-painted. I get my license back soon so I'll probably be finishing it this weekend.
Got a clubsport interior for it, and everything is finished except for carpeting the boot install and finishing those few plastics in the dash.
Will post pics this weekend when I do a bit more work

Looks good, with its position, does the steering wheel block it out?
And if possible could you point me to a good thread of how to fiber glass? or where you learnt from...
Won't be able to do it the same way with mine, but could mould my dash to put one in...Only reason for the idea of it sliding out was so noone knew it was there![]()
That's just a hole cut into the dash facia to fit the screen's mounting cradle, then fibreglass re-inforced bog crap to build up the edges and make it smooth. I'm sure it isn't the best way, as demonstrated by the fact that i keep cracking it. I had never done it before either, just ran with an idea and followed the instructions, or made it up as I went along.
I wouldn't be the best person to do a write-up about it as I really had no idea what I was doing, but have a look around on google and I'm sure you will find something.
As far as the steering wheel blocking it, I haven't really watched it while driving but I haven't noticed it getting in the way yet. I'm pretty tall so the seat is a long way back so that might help the angle as well. A smaller screen might be able to go further to the left

Not really, just take your time measuring everything up, and if you are using sealed boxes, make sure they are nice and airtight

If Barbie's so popular, why do you have to buy all her friends?
Not a lot has been done lately, mostly just fixing up little problems.
Got a new battery I haven't mentioned here yet, some new front end bushes and things like that.
Got a memcal off foamy yesterday that I installed today. Went out to the local airstrip for some 0-100 before/afters.
I only did a couple runs before putting the new memcal in, but the best I managed was a very dissapointing 8.96s, with a 3.4s 60ft time. Since I don't really drive it that hard very often I still don't have a great launch technique and I felt it could have been better.
Whacked in the new memcal and did a few more. Managed an 8.4 0-100 with a 2.xx 60ft time, but accidentally deleted the data just before so can't remember the exact values.
Used racechrono on my phone for the recording - quite a handy little tool!

kool man made a difference:P
If Barbie's so popular, why do you have to buy all her friends?
Sure did, and it feels heaps better in mid-range revs driving around town.
According to the speed vs time graphs on racechrono, it made a massive difference from about 50+kph, and i didn't quite get as good of a launch on the 8.4 as i did the 8.9.
It is a lot of fun playing with that little program though, and seeing where I can make up time etc. I can see how this time-chasing could get quite addictive and expensive

I've been house hunting the past couple months, and being a group of uni students that has kept us rediculously busy, so I haven't had a lot of time for my car.
Since the new memcal I haven't done much but fix up a couple things in the interior I wasn't happy with. I am building a new shifter surround with a holder for my iriver, but I can't spend much time on it.
Once I find a place and have a decent shed to work in I should be able to make some more progress.
The only thing that *might* happen in the next week of so if I find the time is a quieter exhaust, but last time I went to the exhaust place they were shut for the holidays

Looking for a house to buy or rent ? Quieter exhaust? Really ? Is it that loud?

Looking to rent. The problem is that there are 5 of us, 4 guys and a girl. It was hard enough last year to find one with 3 girls and me, but noone wants to rent to uni students, especially not a group of guys.
My exhaust isn't really loud, but it is a little droney and I really don't like loud 'look at me' exhausts, so I'm going back to a similar system I had on my old car.
2.5in redback with the twin exit rear muffler, or maybe mandrel bent if they don't want to charge me an arm and a leg for it
