Na, it was the night before that I had that trouble with the bolt going AWOL, so I was stuck in the middle of nowhere while it was on. I would have probably woken up that morning and decided it would be shit anyway and gone back to sleep

Bah, was driving back to Melbourne again yesterday and lost sound to the front passenger speaker. I forgot all about it until just before when I was putting in the new headunit.

As far as I can see its a dodgy RCA input on the amp, as it works when you wiggle it and is exactly the same with a different set of RCAs. So for the moment I'll just be running the front and rears off a 4ch amp until I can find a way to fix this 2ch, or find another one (Joe?).

The new headunit is pretty amazing though. It has features out its eyeballs and the surround sound is incredible. I won't finish putting it in yet though because I will have some serious rewiring to do when these subs finally arrive - they are stuck at TNT because I wasn't home when they were dropped off and I can't get them because the ******** driver wrote down the wrong consignment number. Hopefully I'll sort it out Monday though.

I'll also be able to hook up an in-dash screen to the headunit to have some decent picture for the movies, then I'll work on getting the roof-mounted one up and running again.

Now everyone buy my shit so I can afford to do all this: Pioneer DEH3950, cheap 2ch amp, 4g cable & accessories

Oh, and I gave it a service on the Sept 30th, and it as I pulled into the driveway this morning I had done 2600k's since then. Man I get around

The new subs arrived today so I quickly threw them in. It'll be redone a bit neater in a couple weeks but I don't have much time til then.

I haven't been able to give them much of a workout but they sound pretty good thus far.
Also, I didn't take any photos, but I finished up the new headunit as well. Fits like a finger in a fanny

By "all that gear" do you mean the whole stereo or just the subs/amp?
I get a lot of gear second hand to save money. You would be surprised at the bargains you can find if you are willing to wait, or get the previous models.

The system in there at the moment probably cost under $2000 total, and it sounds amazing.
I've only given it a few runs at close to full volume but it shakes your insides. I need to get some serious sound deadening going on now though to make the most of it

Well the new missus asked me to test them out when she was in the car the other day and...well I'll just say she wants a car now simply so she can get them

I'll be writing up a proper review of the subs sometime this week if I can find the time. I got mine off Joe (the forum sponsor), so he can probably work out a deal for you.
If you want to know anything about them before I get the review written up feel free to ask or shoot me a PM

Come along to a friday night FG meet and you can have a listen to the subs and decide for yourself if they are worth the money. Pretty much everyone I've shown so far has been blown away

    All fixed for you Joe.

And I was driving around tonight and spied this little spot. Be nice, the car hasn't been washed in a while. I'll go back and get some better shots after washing it one day

Apart from REALLY needing to get it a bit lower, the list of things I hope to have done by feb/march are:
    - LSD
    - Respray at least the front end
    - GOOD tyres
    - Fix ALL the little annoying problems so its good as new
    - Lots of sound deadening

Hopefully I will have made around $15-$20,000 of fairly disposable income by then, so I should be able to get most of it done.
Then next year I might be having a break from uni and working full-time, so I will actually have money to spend
