Hey all, hope you like my ride. She's a great car but I want more! (Don't we all) I've gotten past most of my need for aesthetics but wouldn't mind some different wheels, probably some race brand wheels like simmons to make her look tough. And what else does a tough car need than more grunt. I think a 355 kit with extractors and twin throttles should keep me happy for a while!
Anyhoo, have a look, let me know what you think and if anyones got suggestions I'd be happy to hear them.
car looks nice mate. ill be in the market for one of these (but the 5speed) around christmas. if you dont mind sharing how much did you pick it up for? paint looks in good condition and hardlid is sweet 2
no longer a hoon by association - the commodore is gone
clean lookin vs mate
series 3 aswelll on that hand i thought the vs sIII had the VT 304?
cant see the maffless thingo?
dont stroke it, charge it mateor even better strap a turbo on. great ute mate good to see you have 2 things my utes missing ...... 2 more cylinders that is, but atleast mines a 5 speed :P , i'm lookin forward to seeing some mods
Yeah the 4 speed is the by product of having a missus that doesn't know the meaning of clutch but hey i'm hoping to hold onto this one even when I upgrade so I've got a project. That's when the T5 goes in! (Personally can't see the sense in 6 gears) I paid $17K about 4 years ago, yes the paint is seamless and yes, I spent a LONG time looking for this car.. there's one trolley ding in the drivers door that can be seen in the right light but other than that as straight as the day it rolled off the line.
The hardlid is good, one keyhole does 3 locking positions. It's basically a section of the diamond shaped security screen and a couple of braces, covered in vinyl with a carpet under the inside and rubber surrounds.. ideally I want to change it for a smoothlid (see Adelaide Ute Accessories website)
Hope that answers your question anyway!
Yeah that has crossed my mind also but love the sound of the strokers and the cost is a little less.. Once I get hungry for more power I'll probably think about a charger. I reckon the vortech kits from capa look like the best power for money that I can find as a new kit.
Im buying the ss induction kit for mine today and getting extractors/headers very soon, ill let you know about the power increase...aprantly the ss induction will pump another 8 rwk
Well woopdeygoddammdidoo, your in Mooneys town..and you aint got no rights!
Also is yours burmuda blue? Did you buy the hardlid, and if you did how much???

One last question to vr304, does this mean the memcal will be a vt one?

Yeah I'm not sure what power gains I have with the cold air as it was on the car when I bought it but I've heard around the 5-8kw. The best/quickest way to find out a general idea of your power gains is to accelerate along section of road say between a number of reflector posts and check your speed difference at the same post.
Sorry to say but I don't know what the blue is called. The lid was also on the car when I bought it, along with tubliner. The lid I think is what they call a hard tarp so it has a vinyl cover and is quite lightweight compared to the glass lids but doesn't look as good I don't reckon.
