My VR S1 Stato

hey all how are, some of you might remember I had a Blue 96 VS s2 with a massive stereo system that had tv screen, splits, rears, 2 batteries, 2 mono blocks, a 4channel amp, and two monster 15s in a custom install... did go to Auto salon in 06....

well here is my daily driver ive built up to be pure pimp! (and only to get better) as i wanted to make the best cruiser in my mind and make a tuff statesman... I think ive done alright so far =D

Sus: King Spring SSSSL's with Munroe Shockers

Interior: VS SII Stato Full Center Console

Stereo: Pioneer DEH 7750 is doing the job for now... (might be building something up like old system but a bit different... so watch this space...=D)

Other: 20% tint all round and 5% on rear window, Silver Pinstripe, WK Clear Side Indicators with LED Globes, WH Stand Up Hood Ornament, 8000k HID low beam conversion, Gen. Caprice foggys, Phillips Blue Vision rear Number Plate lights, Autowatch Alarm.

Build Period: 6mnths+

yer i kno sussn the options and ye go from there, if i do a 5Ltr + setup i kno it will get put off road lol

ye alwayz done whitewalls on on other cars, and ye the statesman was a no brainier to do it, but only thing i changed was the thickness of line, since stato a bigger car then commo needs a bigger line as a "normal" sized line (10-12mm) will look like a bit of shoe lace so had to increase it to 20mm to stand out, and ye..... jecs alot of people have asked are they 20"s + haha so certainly does the job...

my car was off the road for 3 months. i sold the V6 to a person on this forums so it all needed to come out early than i wanted it to. my mate just drop'd a 355 in his stato. it took him 3 days to do it lol. if you have all the parts the longest it will take you is 2 weeks. just think over your options first tho.

would like to get round 300rwkw tho, so if it would be 355 might have to be helped along if you get what I mean =D

trying to find a wrecked stato atm, wouldn't mind if it was a vs s3 or some thing so then i can grab a few other things off it as well...

could possible look at ls1 conv. but havnt seen any round done so don't kno the extent of cost...

the wreck i bought was a Series 3 stato. so it had the roller cam in it, but when i got a quote to have a 355 roller cam set up built the price tag was around the $7500 figure. so i stuck with the hydraulic cam. least with the hydro cam you can see the engine shake and sh*t.

ye just confirming they are 19s lol not 20s, 21s or 22s which ppl think they are.... haha

but yer thats the effect i was after when i was looking for rims... and ye the bigger whitewalls helps in the process!

you wait till u see them rolling far out i even get lost in what size they are when i see reflection in shop windows! haha

nolathane bush kit + link pin kit arrived today... so will get that put in asap!

just planned stereo for stato with a good mate,
so here is the run down, tell us what you think (should be getting all done end of this month):

- JVC KD-AV7100 7" touch screen tv

- MB Quarts Reference 6.5" Splits

- MB Quarts 6.5" Rears Speakers

- DD M2 Amp

- DD C4 Amp

- DD 3515 sub

- DD Custom box

- Full Dynamat car kit: front doors, rear parcel shelf, Boot.

so just quietly this is going to thump!! I even got a feeling it will make more power and be louder than last system!

so watch out for some updates but will be getting round tax return time

n they arrived today so ill change plug over and put a pic up, but should look alot tuff then VT clear ones =D

WK Statesman indicators are tuff. i got a set and put them on my car. make sure you have a bit of silastic glue, because the plug is small than the hole in the guard.

i reckon caprice grill is the go they look alot slicker than the stato ones... oh and your rims have no dish thats why they look alot bigger... plus the whitewalls help too

ye the VZ stato indicators went on tonight n put LED indicator wedge globes so they wont blow, and they look f***ing gansta! will take a few pics n post up tomorrow,

ill go pick up the wh caprice bonnet ornament Wed-Thursday and ye should be sick... has anyone ever put one on a normal hood? if so is it hard??

walsey: ye plus it helps that I choose the bigger whitewall size to jam into my 35's profile so it looks even bigger again and emphasis the effect alot more than the normal 10-12mm wall.
