What colour you doing them? I am eventually gonna have mine sprayed by our family friend in Cherry Black to match the Senator.
started to paint the top engine covers today, the front peice was scratch up a bit and peeling so i sanded them back to bare metal and priming them up with high temp primer and hopefully they will come out good.

im not really sure yet, the front peice was just scratched and missing paint off it and it was annoying the **** outta me, i think they will just be black and silver for the moment.
i might get a VS front peice since the holden badge is different to the VR one.

i was just thinking of painting them black with the stripes & holden badge silver and same with the top covers, black with the 5000 injection in silver and the bannanas bright silver.
i'll just do the front peice first and see how it turns out, easy enough to sand it back again.
the entire car will be getting resprayed next year anyway to different colours so i cbf getting the blue to match to paint job.
Nothing wrong with the baby blue man lol I might be the owner of a baby blue something within the week.......

do NOT get it resprayed! At least wait another five years for the roof to fade firsthahaha
Good luck with the engine coversI just sanded my engine covers and rocker covers back and left them lightly polished. Sorta like a brushed metal look, with the diagonal stripes hilighted in black. Only reason I did that, is because I know with the amount of spannering this car is going to see over the next few years, I'm DESTINED to chip paint off the rocker covers and engine covers
Once you've got them done, treat them well!![]()
