Wank Factor: Blue LED Parkers, Blueish Head Lights, Blue neons in drivers/passengers footwells.
Near Future Mods: I have a set of SL King Springs and shortened stuts, looking for ultra lows and shocks for rear, 7" Chasers, Chip, Hitech Headers and High Flow Cat, Stage 2 Shift Kit.
Dreams: (We all have them) C.O.M.E 4.2 stroker kit, Supercharge or Turbo It

After getting my licence late, I bought a VK Exec off a mate for $1100 With a roady, went ok for a bit, but soon after, I Realised it was a bit of a lemon, so it was off to find a decent car, to begin with I was after a calais and a calais only.. after one was sold from under me, just so happened to look for all holdens within 20k of my place, under 200,000 k's, under 5 grand, only 2 showed up, went around the next day and put down my deposit.

After calculations, I believe the guy I bought it off probly had to spend a good $700 or more on roady, with 4 new rotors and all new pads, valley gasket, new muffler and a few other things, I think my 4 grand was well spent.

Since then, its been about four weeks and I've started collecting parts and slowly getting stuff together as money is tight, starting with the basics!

Thanks for checkin out my ride!

Joel

very neat and clean mate, looks like a very nice buy, doesnt take much to get a bit of power out of these and will go a whole of a lot better than the vk and smoother.

good luck with it

Yeah, but 6 months is worth it, love that harlequin paint you've got, yeah, theyre built to last! service every 10,000k's, my mechanic is really good too, did some work on TRYHRD, that 2000hp clubby, and hes building a 383 VK at the moment.. I always planned on taking the VK off the road and building a stroker, but i think moneys too tight at the moment, id probly have more fun with the grand id get from it now and start on something in a few years!

nice to see you have a good mechanic to fix ya up. although most things with the motors are servicable with a few tools and a bit of knowledge..

maybe something you could try is debadge your car. looks heaps cleaner

where abouts did you get the led's in the foot wells. it looks mad.. i have factory green ones lmao

Theyre little 20cm blue neons, just wired them up to the cig lighter light, so theyre on with the parkers and turn off when i open the door, works well i think, otherwise you could just wire em to say.. interior light so theyre on when thats on. little double sided tape, just behind the bottom lips of the glove box and fuse cover.

yeah i think it would be nice to de badge it, might go have a crack now even, got prepsol and polish here..

i only painted it black because it matched the strips around the sides, black is easier to match than white haha

It has started, here's to hoping more doesn't go wrong!

just did a idler pully, think I have a wheel bearing about to go and i'm told that a little crack in the harmonic balancer shows that it's on its way out!

not fun!

Im picking up a few little things on thursday night, getting me a new ash tray, ciggie lighter and one of the polished intake pipes, just cheap stuff, as I hate not doing something at least once a week!!

Got my memcal in the express post bag to send to greenfoam for a tune, keep forgetting to send it! might even try putting a pod on and see how it goes.. plus, I hope to pick up the exhaust this weekend, if the bloke ever gets back to me!

Might as well update this once in a while!

Got the chasers on, although 2 of the center caps need replacing, will be getting some new caps this week, gotta pick up the panhard rod im buying this week, then I can grab my ultra lows and finally get around to lowering it, New exhaust too hopefully this week from glenroy exhausts in campbellfield..

Their "loud" exhaust, consisting of a single muffler 2.5" cat back, plus the $100 for the twin dump tip is $400, which ive been told could be cheaper if I knew someone in the game, but I really dont... So hopefully I'll be getting my cash for my VK this week and Itll be on by friday, and springs in this weekend..

Just wondering, how low would shortened struts and superlow kings be on the front? Was thinking of using the standard springs with the shortened struts.. but im unsure how it will look either way haha

Ive been told the shortened struts would make a fair difference with the lowered springs, Guess I'll just have to wait and see, I have been imagining it to be very, VERY low as the last guy who had them on said he couldnt go over speed humps without practically stopping first.. got some credit card payments to make haha so hopefully lowered in about 2-3 weeks when I have $110 to throw at spring city for some ultras!

Might be trying the roof lining change in a few weeks on a nice warm weekend, was thinking black suede, and black vinyl dye for the sun visors and black paint + ****loads of clear on the handles.. guess it depends on what I can find!

Almost due for a service too, second in a few months, been doin too many K's!

Some new piccys!

Also... does anyone know what paint these had? is it Alpine white? Got to do my front/rear bars, they have nicks in them, as you can see in the pics!

New exhaust next week from glenroy exhausts! can't wait..

When i get a chance I'll be going into spring city and picking up my set of ultra lows and i can get to work on dropping her on her ass, should look much better..

I might just go get the paint code haha, i think its alaskan, think i confused alaskan with alpine.

Im getting a single 2.5" catback with just a center muffler, then straight through from there with twin 2" dumpies out the back, quoted $400, what were you looking at?
