i picked this car up a few months ago and thought its about time i started a my ride thread. the car has lived out at Bairnsdale for most its life and so its got all highway Kms on it (230000). and been garaged for the last 9 months which is why the previous owner wanted to sell cause wasnt useing it anymore. most the car is still stock it even had the original factory leads on it. ive Gone over it and fully serviced it replaced all the leads, fluids, filters and so forth. It also already had a Whiteline strut brace in it when i got it.

just getting the car running good and smoothly for now. next step is to get more power out of it and get it looking better... it has a few stone chips in the bonnet from all the highway driving and stuff like that. so i will have to go over it with the claybar soon. any heres the pics.

when i brought the car me and my brother were going over it and found this mouse in the CAI...

Interior looks new, you'd hardly know it had 230k's on it. Im glad i seen this too, as iv been scratching my head as to what grill i have on my vr exec. It has a clubby bar and had a vs clubby grill, long story short it ended up in a panel shop and i bought a new grill for it, which i didnt check just left it in the bubble wrap, when i picked up the car it had the senator grill (which i now know). I like it heaps better, but it had been driving me nuts wondering.

well i done a few things over the weekend... replaced the O2 sensor, it looked like the original factory one... also went out with my brother and we took some pics of our cars together... after that at home i was reading Macks ride thread and saw in there bout Upper engine cleaning http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/687104-post143.html so i thought i would give that a go considering my car has over 200k's on the clock... and i got a fair bit of smoke from it. i used Redex Petrol, got it from the local Repco shop. should watch the film and see the smoke all the carbon getting burnt out.

and now heres the smokey bit, it was running for a bit before but i cut the film shorter so it wasnt as big to upload

Hey thanks for the comments everyone. I will get a few photos up tomorrow. I already have gotten all the genuine rear badges and the clear side indicators. I got all the badges from HSV cause it worked out the same price as on ebay by the time you factored in postage. the only problem was they only have one kind of Senator sticker left in the VR Senator range and it was the blue one so its on there but u can barely see it... so i have gotten VS Senator badges for the 185I and HSV and will change the Senator one to a VS Senator Badge soon as well to make it all match.

The seats are comfy and the best part is you don't stick to them in the hot weather...

nice senator...all it needs is the vs grille and some sigs and it would look sic!
I wanna try to keep it looking as original as possible. I thought about changing the grill when i had the front resprayed to get rig of all the stone chips but decided against it

yeah i have the same style seats but in leather. they grip really well. havent stuck to them yet, but i put some hsv seat covers on mine to protect them from getting damamged any further. thats why i like the cloth better. it just stays in such good condition

yea they are good the only problem which i have with mine is the previous owner was a "larger" person so on the drivers seat the padding on the inside has worn out on the bit where i have pointed too.
