Default Jarrods VR. the saga continues

i bought this VR off my father last year. since then i have lowered it some what, though it has VT springs in the back. and put the white 17' rims on it. I also got calais grilles for $25 . i built a custom sub box and now harnesses 2 12inch kenwood subs. the body needs a little work, but as a spraypainter the only thing holding me back is time.

since then i have replace the white 17's with 18' VZ SS alloys. i like the look of these rims, but i am ready for something new, so if anyone wants to swap or buy them off me just PM me. i also picked up some clear side indicators and sprayed the dash insert. its gloss black with sliver trim round the egde. but i seized the engine not long ago and im up for a new one.

in the not to distant future that interior shot will have a gear shifter, not a T bar. i tryed to get some nice night shots of the car with the 18's but only one came out alright. im racking my brain for a colour to respray it. any sugestions would be good.
i thought i might put up some pics of my other cars. the green one is a 500cc Suzuki Mightyboy. and the charcoal one is a 1000cc '92 charade.

just a little list of stuff im wanting to get rid of.

i have 2 sets of lowered rear springs for a VT IRS, one pair are Kings super lows, the others are pedars. i also have a custom sub box if anyone is interested, built to suit VR, very tidy.

i got jibbed with the lowered springs. i bought second hand ones from a parts dealer and got them home and fitted them. the fronts dropped just right. but the back didnt move. the stock springs had sagged with age, so the springs i had put in were lowered a little, but didnt change my ride hight, just stiffened the ride. so i went back and got them changedfor 'lowered springs'..... it didnt changed!!!! AHHH!

so now im rolling with the stance of old school muscle, im a new school family car. i will go back again, third times a charm, but i only paid $80 so i cant get to fussy.

totally agree. 18's are getting cheaper and cheaper. but if you feel the need to keep the 17's - they are ok. i would paint them high gloss black. which would'nt be hard if your in the trade

i really dont want to get rid of the 18's but im in much need of the funds.

how much are we talking to replace 18inch tyres? ive had 3 cars, gonna buy my 4th tommorow and never paid for new tyres. ive replaced the commies stockos 3 time i call it practice, but i only paid $50 for the pair.

Car looks good bro. .I have to agree with joey-19 and dvsv8 .The vz ss are a good looking rim. These days pretty sure you can get cheap 18s for about $140 each? Could be cheaper in your state though. .

$162 is the cheapest ive found in my area. but im rural... may be cheaper in the city....and im not much of an example of wear and tear, more than one afternoon there has been a haze of smoke on the corner near work.... dont know how it got there, but it always appeared after id left... cant explain it.

Car looks good mate.. the white wheels in the first pic suit the colour to a tee.

i reckon it would look awesome with some ve-ssv rims powder coated white... mmmmm

but that may be a bit expensive lol. but it would look good.

FINALLY! i have finished my engine swap. i seized my old engine about a month ago. bought a new, second hand engine. $600 with 6 months warranty. i did 90% of the work myself, my old man gave me a hand to get the engines swapped in and out, and a few wise tips, but other wise i did it all. and i love that fact! here are a few piccys!

the old engine still in the car.

    out she comes

the new engine before it goes in

back in! and all jazzed up!

good work on the engine swap.

makes it so much better when you know everything was done right and that you put the work in yourself.

    good work.
