VS Calais Starting problems...

For the last couple of months now the calais has had problems starting, like when you turn the key nothing happens (like the batterys dead or something) i used to have to sit there for 5 mins turning ignition on/off on/off untill the pos would work! But now i think ive found something thats linked with the problem, when i press the unlock button on the key head (after already unlocking doors and sitting in car with key in ignition) if i press it once or twice she fires up no worries! Im thinking maybe the actuator in the door might not be working properly or something and causing the imobiliser to stay on, and it takes a few prods on the unlock button to let it know the doors are unlocked? any thoughts please??

also it sounds like the contacting ring between your keyhead and ignition may not be working properly.

I wouldn't of thought that would of made a difference, but will check it out none the less! Cheers mate

checked the key and it connects fine with the terminal! still have this issue, anyone else got some ideas or had similar problems??
