was just wondering when you painted your garnish did you get the right paint like with same paint code or just took a stab at a similar colour? because i want to repaint my front skirting but wondering how much paint will cost and everything lol

just got a can from super cheap haha, it came up alright u can only tell theres a slight difference if u know its there or look really hard. my mate sprayed his bonnet and front grill for like $50 i think..and thats the bonnet too..get a quote for it

- Last week bought full leather statesman interior, with leather door trims. Front seats have a few cracks in them but will fix that later on..otherwise theyre in good condition.

- Dash has also been painted white for time being, I don't mind it.
Was sick of the single black pipe hanging out the back, so bought a twin 2.5" chrome tip from supercheap and got it welded on...

- Begain chrome pinstripping, have done tail lights, headlights (probably will do another strip) and mirrors.

Well heres better pics of the car, theyre still to ****in small going to try fix it, but...did more pinstripping this arvo I like it, dont see it alot...did tail lights, mirrors, door handles(soon to be white), indicators and headlights.

Nice car looks sweet, noticed in the statesman door trims those red lights, although i doubt it im wondering if those work? if not rekon they could be hooked up to something, because i like the look and im thinking of getting them and to have those lighst work would be even better

@Silver VS - nah the lights dont work, I would like to make them work though like you said looks heaps better, will have to research a bit. I still have them SS wheels if you're interested.

@Trayner - my method took literally hours, but I believe it to be the safest way lol. First off just used a fishing line to cut away the glue from behind the rubber to the metal, and then gently pulled the rubber strip off. After this just spent ages using wax and grease remover, and a screwdriver wrapped in cloth and it came off without damaging the paint. I didn't know of a caramel wheel at the time and it probably would have reduced how long it would of taken, but then again I've heard of them pulling paint as well so I dunno... but you asked for my method and that's it Just takes ages that's all, but works.

@CruznCalais - yeah I actually got the idea off you're old tail lights mate hope you don't mind haha. I did it differently to the way you did it at least

I got a thicker version of it this morning and it now it looks like I have the berlina/calais chrome mould surrounds! Ive done both sides, cant see the top of the window very well as its off my phone, but it looks the exact same I'm stoked haha

Yeah i think i might buy some stato seats woth doortrims and chrome inner door mouldsgot a guy who wants 500 bucks for them not sure yet tho.

well the tail lights are a couple of weeks old now n i drove to central coast and back and most of the way it was pissing down rain, plus teh rain we've had here lately, so yeah i think its fair to say its lasts pretty well
