Tristan's Vs Calais II

Hey all, new to this forum and I'd like to share with you my Calais.


Picked it up a couple of months ago for 8k, with 187,000km.

It's been lowered with pedders springs, has a single 2.5'' cat back exhaust with one muffler, Pioneer 6.5'' screen and cheapy 12'' sub.

So far I've fitted a double camber kit, and Advanti racing "Zeta" 19's.

I've got some polk and alpine speakers to replace the standard items, and a brainvibrations 1000watt mono block amp - just shopping around for some subs to suit.

Future mods include - Extractors, chip, new shocks/swaybars & bushes. Tint, and maybe a manual trans - or shift kit.

Nice ride mate! 8K is a good buy for the klms and being a series 2
Rims suit the car aswell

Its the same as Teppa's but you need the 5% tint that is on his, looks MINT.

20% would not look to bad mate, i got a quote the other day from Tint express to remove old tint and replace with 18% for $450 and the 18% on the 4WD they had looked rather nice, not to mention it also looks a bit more reasonable to the boys in blue

20% would not look to bad mate, i got a quote the other day from Tint express to remove old tint and replace with 18% for $450 and the 18% on the 4WD they had looked rather nice, not to mention it also looks a bit more reasonable to the boys in blue

Damn man thats EXPENSIVE.....

Thanks for the positive comments guys, yeah a mate of mine works at a windscreen/tint place.. he can do 20% for $200

as for future mods def do the chip speak to greenfoam ( member on this forum)
he does magic with 5L tunes and a shift kit would be nice
or if u have money go for a manual thats what im doing soon as my auto gives out

I'm getting a bit sick of the stock power situation now, want a little bit more poke.

Been searching through the forums and I think im going to go with a cam package - The crane 276 seems to be the go. Along with a set of roller rockers, Memcal, extractors - (4 into 1 or try Y??) and some gearbox attention - I might build my auto up with a shift kit and stally, but i do have an opportunity to get a VT V8 getrag box - Does anyone know if these will fit into a VS II? obviously I will have to change the tailshaft, add clutch pedal.. ect ect..

I also picked up a set of VS Caprice seats. Should have them fitted and wired up within a few weeks.

Well nothing much has happened in the modification department since I last posted, except i've fitted the caprice rear seats and door trims, havnt picked up the fronts yet. Also debadged the rear apart from the lion badge and put on a VE calais badge.. She has 18% tint now which has made a nice difference too.

lol i got a set of SS Skirts, Front and rear Bar Lips sitting out the back waiting to get painted and put on mine had em sitting there for bout 4 months

nah motivation is fine, cost is the issue, got to spend nice $$$ to get a legit set of ss skirts and lips then 4-600 to get em painted and im not gonna pay 4-600 to get those little ****ers painted and i dont have a spray paint mate

Looks good mate, don't worry about most of these Vic boys, they all got 5% because another one of the Vic boys does it for $180 for 5% all round'. One got it done, so they all got it done

Be funny if the cops defect most of them one day for too darker tint Especially because one of them i know of has a big TEPPA TINT sticker across his back window. Not good if the cops defect for too darker tint and see the advertising for whoever did it.

coby, TMU has already sent me a letter... but was for differnet issue and didnt mention anything abt my windows.

You can find the ss skirts on here in the for sale bit, and some times on ebay too, i saw some last week i think it was.
