No comparison really;
I havn't really got to drive it with no license

but the short drive I had in it i'll say;
1989 S-pac VN 6cyl Manual
1996 VS Statesman Series 2 6cyl S/C Auto
Go - 0
- Vn got up and went quicker, stopped quicker, but then again, changing up and down gears a bit of an advantage with the manual, plus being lighter.
Round the bends
- Vn had $2000 roughly spent on suspention, held to a corner in 2nd or even 3rd like it was on rails, Stato with stock suspention floats around a corner and feels like it could just keep floating off the side lol.
Luxarys
- Vn had none, rode rough over a bump with 18s an hard suspention, nothing power, Stato with power everything, all the simple things in life, air con', deadlock, remote central locking, you name it its almost got it all, goes over a bump and you barly notice or feel it, the steering is so light its a 1-finger job, auto is my dream at the moment so I like that lol. Overall the stato ****s over the Vn in this category.
Style
-Well depends on things, the vn with its lowered stance, 18s, loud exhaust (not a drone, but really good job done), or the stato, nice lines, lots of chrome in all the right spots, not but 2 marks all over the paint, it depends on your sence of taste, but for me the stato is a winner here.
Overall better car
- For me the statesman, because I was ready to get out of the 'boy racer' car and into something that represents where I am now, with my own buisness now at the age of 20, the stato looks better to turn up in lol. Plus for only $3000 (only had 1month rego left though) it was a bargain, with enough power to take off at the lights and beat an average car, it really is just the perfect car for me now. I'm in love with it, and will add a few more toys and gadgets to the car when I can finnaly decide what I want to do, but 19s and DVD player are a shoe in, hehe.
Wow this became a LONG story! haha rate the car and comment people, cheers!
2 Monthes and I get my license back, and can finnaly drive again instead of paying to be chouffered (sp?) lol.
EDIT: My bad, when the VN was stock; It still hit a bend better, got up an went a bit slower than the stato but slowed down quicker, funny enough. But the stato I guess is set up so much different as a cruiser ect, stato still would put it over the Vn because after 80klms the Vn got a bit long till she got up to the 120 mark.
