    Default manual VR commodore

    Model: VR
    Colour: Black, with red silk pearl
    Bodykit: vt clubsport front and side, VR clubsport rear bar
    Engine Type: 3.8litre buik
    Engine Mods: modified CAI with K&N, 70mm throttle body, upgraded memcal, blue-top injectors
    Power: not sure
    Exhaust: 2.5" from cat-back, high flow cat, wildcat extractors and 2 " y-pipe
    Gearbox: fully rebuilt T5
    Diff: rebuilt LSD
    Brakes: VX SS on the front, standard on the back
    Suspension: SL on the rear, ultra lows v8 on the front, replaced all the bushes, adjustable panhard rod
    Wheels/Tyres: 19" speedy
    Interior: painted mostly white, Vx ss seats, new carpet, 2" gauges underneath head unit, tacho.
    Other Mods: car was white, now is black, flutes on side
    Stereo: alpine head unit, alpine splits, jbl 6x9's, 2 x 12" option audio subs and a alpine 1100W monoblock amp
    Build Period: a year
    Cost: probably a lot less then you think

    this is my VR, i bought the car for $1000 and it was f@#$%ed, i replaced the engine and pretty much every single interior parts. then i got to the paint work, did all the sanding my self then had help with the painting.

    Thats some nice work, any other plans. Not a fan at all of that massive taco. Looks out of place and theres one on the dash. Whats the things on the air vents.

    those things r air deodorizers aka air fresheners not a bad effort for a 17 year old mate im at the same age n looking at doing up a vn be careful with the red lights that could get u in **** and **** i love them spotties

    hey mate
    yeah plenty of plans, but i need money first. stuff like wheels and some engine work, i want a cam and rockers.

    Looks good mate. Sounds like you've done quiet a bit of work to her. Did you re-wire the front yourself (put the parkers in the headlights and the indicators next to the headlights rather then on the front bumper) or was it like that when you got the car? I was thinking of changing mine around but wasnt sure how much work was involved.

    i love the colour man, i agree the tacos inside do look a tad off but still shes a lovely car

    how many K's did she have when you bought her?

    the car had over 300000 but i have replaced pretty much everything and the motor only has 150k on it

    edit: those arent tachos, the guy was talking about the tacho that you cant see in that picture. those things are gauges.
    and i rekon they look good :S

    nice car mate....i like what you have done to the interior .... it might not be to everyones tastes.... but i reckon that colour scheme really stands out nicely.

    i'm keen to hit mine with the spray can ... the interior decorating article in this months SC budget builds has revved me up to do something with the car.Nice work mate.

    ^^^^^^hmmmm i have reconsidered hitting my car with a spray can now..lol...i think i might regret it... still reckon yours looks pretty good though... deperate to do something with the car though no funds for anything decent...almost made a hasty decision!!
