Im a huge VS fan..ive owned 4 holden VS's..My current car has taken me years to get where it sits now
I spent a good year searching for a straight, well maintened, non modified vs and eventually found my 96 vs v6 1 owner straight as an arrow with very low k's.
Im a very fussy owner when it comes to my cars lol.
I spent another 14months or so searching for a donor car (v8 manual) i eventually found a perfect donor in the bush polite old guy. It was a VS manual drove like new interior was perfect but the outside was hideous heaps of dints scratches.
After a long time of searching i had my shell and donor car so i headed to my local reputable mechanic and begun the transformation. Engine was overhauled before installation and a nice new crisp h/d clutch..Just before my car was finished for pickup i came across a perfect near new Senator interior..Photos dont do them justice
1996 Holden Vs
5.0ltr 5 speed manual
Things added:
H/D clutch
Full VS senator interior seats & Door trims *very rare*
Monaro bonnet
Full SS body kit
VS ss fog lights (omg was it hard to find these beauties)
Full chrome window surrounds inside and out removed from a calais
tinted windows
Pacemakers extractors
Red back exhaust 2.5"
15x7 interceptors with center caps an chrome rings
Compressed lowered springs
I went through the whole car and replaced everything that looked worn out, faded, ect..
Have wanted to put some nice rims on it for a while but it might get a little to bumpy for the little one Lol
Engine photos were taken before the install! Pretty clean for an engine bay that hasnt be cleaned in 2 years

Maybe take that black strip off the side? I believe it looks a lot cleaner without it on but each to their own.
Thanks mate,
any pointers on how to get em off myself..
Well I used paint thinner and failed haha.. the rubber like stuff is stuck on in some parts but people use a Caramel Wheel... You can get it from hardware shops I hear.. I haven't got one but yeah.. should get around to it in the end haha.
Thanks mate.. will look into it
hey bud bout those side door moulds ive tried gettin mine off and attemted many things a sharp blade, metho, wax and grease remover, now ive given up im thinkin of just rubbin them back with some 80 grit paper and then gettin it sprayed as i want to also do the mirrors and door handles at the same time. if u want u can have a look at my thread 'side door moulds'. im really liking the look of the rear bobtail spoiler car looks very neat

How much it cost you for the bonnet mate? I'm looking at getting one myself in the next few weeks.
