    Default Josh's VS S Pack - 1st Commodore

Hey guys here is my new car, my first holden and first commodore.

its a black (botanica) VS S Pack 4 spd Auto with 183000kms on it. i am only the second owner of the car and bought it for $3100.

after searching for months for the right commodore (am a massive car freak and wanted to find the right one for me) so after trying to find a VN SV3800 i decided on the newer VS S pack with the ecotec. wanted the FE2 suspension and have always liked the VS shape.

It needs a bit of cosmetic work which is fine and i can do that over time, but the main thing is that it runs well and the gearbox and engine are fine.

Let us know what you guys think,

    cheers

    Josh

    thanks for the comments guys.

mods to come: VS S/C CAI, 2.5" catback, chipped ecu (is it greenfoam who does this?), VE SS wheels. thats it for now. will see how it goes when all that is done.

yeah i dont know what to do about the badges, i bought it like that with no badges. i have all the genuine holden badges sitting there waiting but dont know whether to put them all back on or some or none. any ideas?

yeah i might keep the badges off except for maybe the holden lions. havent decided. hey nick did you wire up the foglights yourself? i have the SS front bar but no foglights yet. is it hard? not very electronically minded so will prob get someone to do it.

you sure its botanica? looks more like panther mica to my eyes!

as for the foglights: if it has ABS then it will be as simple as un-taping the foglight looms from the radiator support and routing them down to the bumper area....the switch wiring should be there too if i remember correctly

just put the VS S/C CAI on it the other day and wow what a difference. the question i have about this is i still only have the standard (new) air filter in there. would a hi flow filter make a massive difference?

contacted greenfoam about getting a tune for it too but nothing yet (i understand he is a very busy man).

no it doesnt have ABS so how hard would the foglights be? keep in mind i dont really have any electrical expertise besides knowing how to put a head deck in!!

thanks for your help guys and interest.

P.S. i think it might be panther then, its the black with the deep green in it.

yeah i love the FE2 suspension, when i was looking for a commodore it had to have that. handles so well and flat!! yeah mine has the SS front bumper too without the foglights (which will be coming soon) and i prefer the rear lip spoiler to the SS one.

so what do you think about the Air filter? worth getting a high flow one?

i have also sourced a 2.5" catback exhaust from a wholesaler for $200 (not fitted). its from swift exhuasts - anyone heard of them? any good?

thanks for the replies guys, keep them coming!!!

well i bit the bullet and bought a lukey high flow air filter this morning from bursons for $45!

WOW, makes even more difference than just the CAI and so much more power and pickup.

hey guys bit of an update here, put some clear indicators on the girl, got a full polish and detail done.
Redback catback exhaust, some subtle HSV badges under the indicators.

Just bought some VZ Monaro/VZ SSZ wheels, just waiting to get a good price on rubber. will put more pics up when they are on.

these pics are from my trip to Bathurst with a mate.
