Very nice car Josh. Can I ask why you have such ambitious plans for the car when your already planning to sell it for a V8? Its not that expensive to change to an 8 (in comparison to the mods you have planned) So if you have your heart set on an extra 2 cylinders I reckon forget about the manual conversion, porting heads etc.
Paint looks beautiful by the way, respray???

nah im not really set on a v8 yet... just something i would like... a bit of a dream i guess... i just couldnt afford to run it as im soon starting an apprenticeship... so i'll stay with the six for now... one day the 8 will come
nah not a respray... just polished![]()
Well the paint looks great mate. My partners VS is the same red and it doesn't look anything like that! You've done a good job with the polish
Maybe grab yourself some new taillights (the factory ones with the clear indicators, and not altezza's!) and the ass will look real neat

If Barbie's so popular, why do you have to buy all her friends?
thanks guys! do you have any pictures on here of your partners vs. im interested to see how the paint compares. my uncle yesterday noticed that my paint doesn't have the normal ripple that most paint has in it... maybe its had a cut on it. i dont know. thanks heaps for the support! i think the front of the car is looking a bit boring... i really think its calling out for a body kit what u guys think? also just bought some plates... FER72 black background white letters. fertz is a family nickname... so they'll be on it in less than 2 weeks and i'll post up some more pics!
my paint is about the same quality as your check my thread

Umm there aren't any up on this site and I dont seem to have any on this laptop. Basically looks somewhere inbetween your colour and the old pheonix red from the VN series. Guess it needs a real good cut, but yours just looks like a real deeper kinda red instead of burgandy, especially in that last pic

Nice ride same colour as mine, what polish did you use, my paint needs a bit of work.
i use a waterless wash and wax in one called "nowet carclean" which has in it carnuaba wax and kaolin clay. it has no silicone, abrasives, or petroleum distillates. it works really well and its meant to be good for the paint. check out the site:
NoWet › Waterless Car Wash › Mobile Car Detailing › Welcome
these 2 pictures were taken i think 3 days and about 300k after i cleaned it. i must say im really happy with my paint. apart from a few small chips![]()
man looks great
THAT PAINT!!
is sooooooo shiny and nice looks straight out of the factory
and where can i get some of that waterless wash and wax!
i want some!
well guys haven't had internet really in the last few months so i thought it was time for a bit of an update. early october or november i decided not to sell the raptor charger sitting on my floor and throw it on the vs. thats been going really well since. so much more fun than na! unfortunatly tho it is still running the auto box and open wheeler. im surprised that the auto hasn't died on me but i think that the half rebuilt i had on it when i broke it back in mid 08 has held it together.
apart from the charger, the vs now sports a genuine ss kit which i got for a good price and a short drive on ebay. i have the fog light bezels too but have been lazy and haven't put them on yet. and i got my hands on some chrome window surrounds and have started putting some other chrome trimmings around the car. oh and new wheels. still want bigger tho!
let me know what you think guys!
hey mate, how'd u get the chrome strip on the rear quarter window? coz i saw sum guy just replace the windows wit the strip on it.
