    Yeyeyeye.

Well getting thread back on track, I'm looking for a VS Clubby/VS SS - manual. Leave it sitting around for a bit, yank the motor out and start building it up.

Photoshoot happening with the VS happening soon, maybe a lick of fresh paint on the front end, fix up a couple of dings and new shocks/suspension components...

Leather interior is also on the way

Dyno runs also happened recently. Did two power runs with two distinct differences.
Needs a service, so figures could probably improve a tad soon.

    1st Run: 123rwkw
    - Air Mixer removed from the intake pipe, running an enclosed 3" K&N POD styled CAI
    - Running 98 Octane

    2nd Run: 94rwkw
    - Air Mixer (For the LPG, Carby intake) bolted onto the intake
    - Running the current L67 OTR CAI with K&N Panel and stock Airbox
    - Running 98 Octane

See the 2nd run video HERE

So you can see that the Gas Mixer on the intake is robbing 30kw from the motor's current output level. Currently sitting on about 165kw at the motor (15kw gain on the CAI, tune, MACE spacers)

Anyway, the gas system is staying on, as it's a daily driver and I'm saving too much money from running it on gas. I'm not interested in building a serious V6 setup, if I was, I would be starting with an IRS car and I would probably go FI with twin turbo's like IBLOWN.

With the recent tune up, the exhaust sounds more beefy, almost sounds cammed lol.

    See it HERE

    Couple of new snaps.

Not a bad figure for the first run! She sounds tough too, where'd you have the dyno run done?

Yeah but sacrifice comfort for the sake of a camber kit lol...my car hates bumps...it's a bad ride unless it's on the most perfect of surfaces. But new shocks (when I get around to them) should help

Thanks mate. Yeah LPG does reduce performance when it's on the old carby styled Air mixer intake...Direct Injection straight gas tuned properly with a motor made to suit it can pull better numbers than 98 thanks to the higher octane rating....however you will never get the same fuel economy from LPG due to it's lower energy content.

Haha, yeah spewin. I saw another VS S up my way with the same wheels same colour, numberplate 'TPD 420' haha. Parked next to it at my local pub. Was like 'fkn copykat haha'

Yeah not bad on the dyno...thought it might pull a bit better. My tuner reckons that with a 'real' dyno tune, rather than just a tweak it should pull 130rwkw easy. (Accounting for the removal of the gas mixer, etc) But I'm not fussed.

    Stay tuned for the leather!!!!!

Haha don't worry mines riding awful at the moment too. Question, what did you use to clean up your brake calipers/rotors? Paints, cleaning agents, etc.
    Brake upgrade came today

EDIT: Can you just paint the caliper all over, or are there parts that need masking? They came with some pads on them.

I used a wire brush on the end of a drill and got all the grime off it...polished it back to nice shiny metal, then gave it 4 or so light'ish' coats of VHT Red Paint...

I painted the caliper everywhere. take the pads out and take the caliper body off the caliper bracket...paint them separately (particularly if you want the bracket a different colour - which looks better than both the same - Go silver or black)

Picked up the new seats today. VS Statesman Leather, awesome condition (apart from the usual wear around the shoulder and front edge on the drivers seat). I'm going to chuck some degreaser on them and then feed the leather and really clean them up properly before they go in (after Christmas).

Probably going to get some door cards custom made...unless I can find a non statesman/calais with the standard door cards, rather than the luxury leather door trim look (which I don't want).

Anyway, enough talk...have a peek at them

The main body of the caliper is red...the bracket which bolts onto the hub and supports the body is silver.

100% approved. Love the seats they'll look mint, what a bargain!

Reckon silver on black would look good for my brakes?

Yeah maybe, or silver all over. Painting the rotors silver as we speak lol, soooo much cleaner.

EDIT: Did you "bake" all your rotors, calipers, etc after you painted them?

Yeah good cos I can't be bothered haha. The front caliper bits and rotors have come up great in silver. Will have to buy a can of black paint for the other parts, they're black already but its old and scratched off.

Did you need custom brake lines for the front? or do the VT ones fit on? I painted over the whole rotor, so gonna get them machined and that should take all the excess paint off the braking surface. That's if they need machining do you know how to tell? If they don't need machining I'll just get the sandpaper out
