    Default New Boot Install

    Hey,
bit of an update, thought a few other vr/vs owners might like to see what i'm doing for a boot install.
Its basically a false rear wall with a sub box built into the back, so the sub can sit flush on the front wall.
I carpeted it today and will be installing/wiring tomorrow.

Pictures can be found here Post your car audio system and pictures

    Any thoughts ?
    Cheers.

    Default Pics

Just a few more pics because i havent put any up for a while.
Today i put in 7 LED Ultra white parker globes, i'll snap a pic when its dark

I have my VS Alloys on at the moment because my VT SS wheels need new tyres, and dont have enough money yet.

There's also a few pics of the stereo, been done for bit over a month now. I'm very happy with how it all fits together, i've retained a spare tyre and access to the jack too, though i had to put on a 175 wide spare tyre to fit it in.

    Cheers.

Top left amp gives the front splits ~160wrms each .. mono on the right powers the sub 390@4ohm 790@2ohm .. bottom left gives rear speakers 50wrms each, and i have boxed 7x10" speakers just behind the 'wall' also getting 50wrms each.. i only use those if i have the boot open listening to music etc, not going the whole time.

    Cheers.

Haha yeah mate they crank pretty well!
They've rattle my door to crap, but its well worth it

I'm pretty happy with it, its a good well rounded system but the sub i have at the moment is junk, i just borrowed it off a mate until i can afford a new 12"

    Hey,
    Got some small updates.

I got my new tyres fitted on the front, the Federal 595s 235/45/17 .. also got a comparison to my camber worn rear tyres haha anyone else got camber??

Also got some time off now, so i've started detailing my engine bay, i got some new bosch sport leads too. I think the blue looks much better than black, which is a bonus.

Anyone have any tips fo polishing metal? Or which surfaces come up well? I'm using autosol, and so far the intake chamber/plenum cover are coming up well.

Next i'll be tidying up my mass of fuses for the stereo, i'll re run them with bit longer cable and hide them over the right side around the strut tower i think.

Please feel free to comment away!
