planning on leaving it relatively standard because of how good condition it is (120,000km on the clock) plus i plan on supercharging my stato and painting it so this will just be a nice dailySo heres a few pics of when i got it(completely stock) and later that day(lowered with 20s and exhaust dumped)
looks good.
dont worry, il start a ride thread soon.
very nice
imo i think id do the opposite but
charge the senator and stato as daily
personal choice but :P
nice ride mate, she came up a treat. I like the wheels you have, they look good without the centres aswell. Good luck on deciding which one, i know which way i would go!!!!!!!!!!!
LIVE BY THE SWORD
DIE BY THE SWORD
oh man. that interior is light.
looks killer though.
some different wheels would proabbly look better.
good luck on painting and supercharging the stato. im looking forward to seeing how it goes
did a little bit of work on the senator over the weekend. thought i'd show it off.
painted my calipers, fitted a fire extinguisher tinted my windows and gave my engine a quick wash.

nice rims mate
Float like an elephant sting like a tree clubsport hits what doug does'nt see
ok havent made any real modifications since my last post. but i have picked up some new rear springsTein height adjustable springs so it does sit a little lower in the rear (about the same as sssl's would.) so pretty happy with them. just gotta get stiffer rear shocks and a new front set up when i get a bit more cash flow
![]()
they look nice, be good to be able to adjust it as you wish![]()
i'm a fan of the interior
That interior is awesome bro matches the green on the outside, rare as well.. I rekon keep her nice and stockish with reversable mods
yea i love the interior...pretty much the reason i got itand everyone seems to love it aswell which is a plus ^_^. that was my plan originally but i might indulge in a charger tho or maybe work the motor into a 355
but id like to keep or the numbers the same...apart from the gear box...i hate autos so that gonna get tossed away very sortly

well done like the interior
ok had a bit of a crazy weekend...but got most of the things i wanted to done finished ^_^
first - friday night picked up the new goodies
manual conversion out of a vs ss with 140 000kms, it came with a sprung center brass button clutch, yella terra lightened flywheel, vx hsv short shift gear stick and a brand new clutch cable
started the conversion last night (just put the pedal box in)
started the real work this morning at 10 after getting a new spigot bush 12hrs later had the manual all in ready to go, but realised i had snapped a plug at the dizzy, so wont be done untill tomorrow nowbut i had time to mess around a little, painted a bit of under my car(not finished) and took my springs out to have a see how low it would go
anyone got any tips on removing/installing the dizzy, i will be pulling the inlet manifold off to make it easier and also giving it a good clean out so that will be out of the way.
cheers![]()
after a few days of dicking around i got hte car going sweet againand i also started on my console..just tossing up a few ideas about it atm..not sure if i should keep the ash tray and if i should go for the carbon or woodgrain look. also i pic with my new springs with my mates vy.

Looks good, should try a keep the woodgrain or do a stainless steel surround around the shifter.
awesome work with the conversion. if youre interested, i made my own manual console out of a statesman one, similar to yours. not the best job, but turned out alright. check out my thread
1995 Manual HSV Clubsport
Wade Cam :: 9.2:1 CR :: Pacemaker headers :: Twin 2.5" Exhaust :: VT Brakes
1991 Supercharged VN Berlina
9 PSI SC14 Intercooled :: Genie headers :: Twin cats :: HM Twin 2.25 exhaust :: 3.45:1 LSD
yea i seen that, looked sweet. but im kinda bit scared of cutting my leather n console. so im trying to fit it all in the standard cut out. i was thinking of putting the ash tray up the top like standard manual consoles, just gotta figure something out for the boot and ive gotta practice my fiberglassing![]()
