painting slpit piece ls1 egine covers, paint to use??

hey guys, bought a set of unpainted ls1 split piece covers, and was wondering if a high temp paint is needed?
ive got some black brake caliper paint, which shud withstand some heat, and acrylic topcoat for shinyness.

wud this turn out ok?

i used body paint with correct primers and laquer and got a great finish.

Two days after fitting them the left hand one bubbled up from the heat.

I've not got round to re-doing them but will be using high temp paint.

Definitely use high temp paint for this, mate as the covers will be copping a fair amount of heat.
