single window to three window cluster swap over

ive had a quick search but didnt fine the answer im after. ive got a VX SII S pac with a single window cluster and i wanna swap it over to a three window cluster, i wanna no
1) if the wiring harness is the same and work?
2) how will i put my km's reading to the new one? reprograming some how?

kms is recorded via bcm/pcm you will need to get the new windows activated via a tech2

fit the cluster to your car go to your "prefered" dealer (one that doesnt actually rip you off) not sure if there are any of them in TSV and they can hook a tech 2 comunications adaptor up and enable the other 2 window displays not sure but you MIGHT need a new bcm to show data in other 2 windows ive always bought clubbys so its always been a std thing on my car so i don't know 100% if it will work.

the odo reading is stored in the cluster not the BCM so it cant be changed by tech 2 unless it has under 100km on it

i have heard of places like VDO and so on being able to change them though

but as for everything else its a straight plug in and away you go

Yes it will but it will also need to be recalibrated with a Tech 2

I'm booked into getting my cluster recalibrated on friday. But according to the guy i bought the cluster off all the globes were working perfectly. Now they are all working fine except for the needles and the lcd's.

So from my assumption, either i got extremely unlucky that the globes for only the 4 needles and 3 windows died on the way here, or do these need to be set up aswell?
(all the globes are green btw so i doubt they were changed)

i didn't think they would so i'm just going to go with the extremely unlucky part lol, but if anyone else had the same problem and it was fixed when you got the cluster recalibrated, let me know before i replace a heap of globes.
