Default VX Series II Acclaim Wagon Help Me Please!

Hello this is my first post here i just found this site from google search.

Anyway ive just purchased a VX Series II Acclaim Wagon and i was wondering if anyone can help me please.

I was wondering if anyone knew if you can wind the kilometres back or reset them in any way?

And another question was that when you start these car on the dash mine flashes at 90000 kilometres first then goes to its actual kilometres. Is this normal?

I'm just trying to see if the car yard i bought it from have pulled a shifty on me or not.

Thanks in Advance i hope to get a reply.

when it flashes at 90000 that means its due for its service, and i wouldnt be trying to wind the km's back and you can get into a lot of trouble by doing this.

Flashing Ks is the service due at**** k's. and the is no way to wind the k's back unless you install another dash cluster with less K's on it

    9,000km ?? dont you mean 10,000 ?

as services are based on 1,000,10,000,20,000,30,000 and so on....

Don't know what everyone is saying ... But the next service is due at 90,000 km and the dealer or mechanic will reset the speedo for you...... Safe driving

Your owners manual tells you how to reset the service warning

read closely: there's a zero you missed

    90,000 not 9,000

    Talking Vx

    Hey Renthal 675

If ya brought a vx, im sure ya got books, service history and so forth being a fairly new car. Being a series II ya should still have warranty by GMH right?

It is very hard 2 wind back the km on a digital dash. But im sure gmh or someone knows how 2 do it via a computer or something.... Yeah when ur dash flashes ur due for ya service, how many km u done over 90k?

    Cheers.
