I couldnt find the answer anywhere so i will ask it.
In my car when i try to do a burnout standstill my gearbox will just rev out and not kick the rear tyres. It use to but has recently stopped, but use to easily smoke up the rears.
The engine has got about 240,xxxkms i was wondering if its time for a rebuild.
lol.. if u need to rebuild at 240k, u've done a few too many burnouts.. but yeh try thinner tyres, less tread.. otherwise i don't know..
Lol nah definitely not many burnouts my diff was farked and whining when i got it. I got a new diff to hopefully fix the no spinning issue.
well the person u got it from did too many burnouts :P.. how much u get it for?
for the car or for the new diff?
Yeah i thought so my bad. I got my new diff thru a mate from a vz v8 for $400. Havent taken it out for a go yet but gona be lookin for some diff gears soon.
thats pretty good, thanks for letting me know..good luck with the wheel spinnage :P
Haha no worries
maybe the clutch slipping?? do you get a bad smell in the car after trying?
my VT did the same thing until i replaced the clutch
Nah its auto but defifitely no smell. It used to kick with the old diff then it just stopped. I put it in first and plant it the rear end drops but no spinnage or even try to
take some pressure of the footbrake let the car lunge forward alittle then slam the go pedal and the brake and you should see spinage
Yeal i wil give it a go when these double demerits go away
