How to remove head light switch from dash surround please

Hi, I'm in the process of trying to replace my heater core today and while I ran out of day light this evening thought id paint the dash surrounds while i had it all in bits.

One question but, How do i remove the Headlight switch from behind the dash surround?

Its got a few tiny clips but they are so hard to unclip, any ideas how to get this off so i can start to paint this?
