Default IAC & TPS Location help on V6 Ecotec

Where do i find the IAC valve on my V6 ecotec? I'm going to try and give it a clean.

Also, i am about to buy and replace my TPS (throttle position sensor) is this just a matter of removing and replacing?

I have a problem starting it seems to stall sometimes and also there is a dead spot at low revs or very light throttle i am trying to sort out.

Ive done some reading on here and narrowed it down to TPS, IAC and CAS..

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Smokin

Not sure about the flat spot and stalling...

Yes, its as easy as take out the old one, put the new one in and plug it in...

Not the 'adapter' in that image... VERY VERY VERY VERY important that you install that correctly... trust me... speaking from experience...

    Thanks Jester,

Can you explain a little more about the TPS "Adapter" thing please?

Just got quoted from Repco the following:
    TPS - $205.00
    IAC - $129.00
    Crank Angle Sensor - $123.00
    O2 Sensor - $152.00

    All ex overseas...

I just want it not to stall while i'm taking a corner at 100kph and have no power steering.. Do you think its the Crank Angle Sensor at fault here in your opinion?

    Thanks,

    Smokin

The adapter is the little plastic sleave you see in that diagram.

Just make sure you intall it otherwise your car will have idling and stalling issues.

Also... shop around... repco are not exactly what you would call "good value for money".

Sorry I can't help more than that.

If u think its ur CAS, wen ur car doesnt start poor some hot water on it and if it starts then u can assume thats more then likely gone faulty. if it dont start it'll b somthing else.

Wow, I was pretty sure TPS and IAC were both around the $60 mark, CAS no idea, and O2s you can get OEM on eBay for about $50 each.

I have a used, but perfectly functional IAC and TPS lying around from my VT V6 you can have for $20 + postage if you want, I'll even throw in a pair of used O2 sensors for free They have around 20,000kms on them from memory.
