Hey all,
I've had a search but can't find anything.......
Does anyone know if a VT sedan/wagon front sheet metal bolt straight up to a VT ute?
Just wondering because of the ute having the same sheet metal as the VR/VS.
Cheers in advance
Vanda
not sure what your getting at but if the ute has the same front end as a VR/VS then no, it wont fit.
If the ute has the same front end as a VT then yes, it will.
Trying to picture a VT ute but i dont think there was until the VX (VU).
pretty sure they were still the same as a VS up until the VU came out - could be wrong??
Hi Davway,
The ute is a 1999 model which makes it a VT, But it has the same front end as a VR/VS, Had a little incident today and need to replace the Bonnet, bumper etc, so am looking at different options..
Sounds like I can wipe the VT sheet metal idea out.............
Cheers
Vanda
There was no VT ute, you have a VS ute after VS there was VU.
You can get front vt/vx front bars etc to fit your VS.

Ummm, that'd be a VS series III ute, same as the Statesmans. VU was 2001
its a vs ahaah
yeh it will fit
hell i didnt read all the posts lol,,,,
Yeh No Such Thing As A Vt Ute. Only Vu Altho The Front Is A Vx.
Always In Construction Mode!!!!!![]()
vs utes went upp all the way till late 2000 didnt they?
Yep, the VS Series III ute ended in November 2000 with the inttroduction of the VU ute.
Thee was not VT ute.
In answer to the main question... no... a VT front end won't fit on your 1999 'VT' *cough* VS *cough* ute. You may be able to get an aftermarket VT kit for it.
Cheers
i hope your wrong cos i have just bought a vt ss 1999 ute.
only 300 where made nine witch made it to nz they came out with the 5l v8 gen 1
slightly longer and wider than the vs.
As has been said many times, there is no such thing as a VT ute. VS Series III were made up til Nov 2000 (withe the SS's having the 5L V8) and then the VU's came out (SS's having the 5.7L gen3)
