Default No power steering after extractor install?

    Hi all

Just got my pacemakers put it with opened cats and rear resi off. SOUNDS AWSUM!!
The problem is i have no power steering at all now.... the steering arm isnt touching anything and all lines look fine. The exhaust bloke was even stumped... Any one else had a similar problem? Or any ideas how to fix this??

    Cheers Frank

This may be obvious, but check your Powersteering fluid.

after checking the steering fluid try jack up the car (both front wheels off the floor if u can) and turn full lock to full lock and see if that helps it, sometimes air gets stuck in the lines, only thing i can really sugest :S

oh and make sure the cap to the resivoir is off ^^

As long as they didnt disconnect anything and allow the pump to run dry and top it off before giving it to you ? You have a Calais so i assume variable steering. Pacemaker should cater for that as well if that has anything to do with it ?

have you inspected the pump to see if its leaking at all? could be a coincidence that it shat it self? maybe try blow some air thru the lines and see if its blocked or something? just a few sugestions of the top of my head :S

LOL, now thats coincidence. Feel sorry for the guy who installed the extractors, probably thinking "how the hell could I have done that??".

It could also have just been an air lock in the rack. When the rack is undone and moved over, the fluid is forced backwards through the valve body. This can cavitate the fluid causing an air lock. But if the rack was stuffed, it was stuffed.....
