I have a Series 1 VT V6 Auto.
Nearly every time I go up a hill of a decent length and incline I will hear at a nasty sounding shudder. It sounds a lot like when your driving over rumble strips and lasts for just under a second.
Usually happens just once per hill and seems to happen most when I'm taking it easy and keeping the revs low. If really put my foot down it doesn't seem to be a problem. It's also fine if I leave the car in 3rd instead of drive.
Also I'm told that my car should change in to 4th as low as 60km/h but I can't seem to get it to change much below 80km/h.
Any ideas on either of these problems?
There might be a problem with the torque converter.
MY RIDE
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
Got it checked out and it was definitely the torque converter. I'm getting it fixed in a couple of weeks and getting new servo's at the same time.
